In a culture that is constantly telling us that we need and deserve more earthly comforts, Jesus’ view of money and possessions can come as a shock. He demands radical surrender of all that we are and all that we own. However, as David Platt points out in this message from Mark 10:17–31, Jesus is concerned with our eternal good. Riches and the passing pleasures of this world can be deceiving and dangerous.
