And this is episode 21, the finale, One Day, and this was a day in the whole. It was one day, wasn't it? It was one day. It makes so much sense now. I feel like this show, though, or like this very last episode was like the one that made us cry like in a while. Like we all cried like in the very beginning, and then afterwards everything was like fine and dandy. I didn't cry.

You did. I bawled my eyes out. I don't know. I haven't cried at any of them, so maybe I'm really soulless. Yeah, I didn't cry because I was just like, I felt like I was really slow. Ice queen. I don't really cry at television shows. I don't either. I do. I do all the time. I'm not that kind of person. This show, man, it makes me cry. It was an emotional episode. It's just because Natalia is such a great actress. She is really incredible. She is. I know.

I mean, that's... I think I just wasn't feeling emotional last night. But maybe... Get it together, Kristen. Get it together. I need to watch this show after I've had a bad day. And then I'm like, life sucks. Why are you dying? I did have a margarita with it, so maybe that's why. That lifts you up. No wonder. You need a downer drink. Okay.

Okay, so let's talk about the episode. All right. We start out learning that April's cancer has come back, and she's basically given two to six weeks to live if she doesn't start chemo that day, basically. I predicted that.

I was like, I told you guys last week, I said, it's not going to be a, you have two to six weeks to live. It's going to be like, if you don't do this. Oh, I figured. That would be a really short season two. Yeah, you can't get rid of your main character. So we kind of knew that. That was my prediction.

I just wanted to get that on the table. So, you know, after she learns that she has a very limited amount of time, if she doesn't start chemo right away, she decides, okay, I'll start tomorrow. I need some loose ends to tie up.

And this kind of starts her whole day. It was a really long day. She did a lot of things for one day. Yeah. She got a lot of things done. She got a lot of things done. And I kind of love the fact that Beth kind of spearheaded this and was like,

you know what? Let's do this. Like, you know, obviously we can't go to our vacation, so we're going to go sit on a boat kind of thing. I wish I was that productive. I know. And, like, if I had been that productive in any one day. Yeah. Yeah, right? She went to work. Yeah. She went and had some relations with her man friend. With her man friend. She celebrated.

She's celebrating Brenda's birthday. Thanksgiving and birthdays. Yeah. That's four things. I mean, she did a lot of things. She got fired. Well, she did. Let's not get into that just yet. I have a lot of feelings about that. Yeah, me too. Yeah, so let's talk about that real quick. So she gets to work that day, and she finds out that they're doing layoffs. Doomsday. Because Erin, the former boss, preempts.

pretty much like overhired, overspended, whatever the case might be. He was a horrible boss, basically. Yes, agreed. And so now Raquel's having to kind of clean up his mess that he made. She's doing very good. Which she is doing very good and that sucks for her that she has to be the bad guy now because of his mistakes. I don't think she minds it. Well, I think...

now we're like kind of seeing more like a soft side to her. Exactly. Like we're getting more insight into her own life. So, I mean, I feel for her and I'm sure she feels bad for doing it. Like, she doesn't want to be the bad guy. Yeah. Like deep down inside. She just wants the best product and to do that. But I think she's one of those people who's just willing to do whatever it takes to make the best paper. Exactly. And so she just kind of grits her teeth and bears it and comes off pretty heartless. Yeah. And I kind of feel like

the other guy that was with her, I can't exactly remember his name, but he, I felt, was kind of in there to kind of play that bad guy role so she wouldn't have to really, I mean, although we didn't see this really, but he was kind of the one who was going to make the final decision. Right, yeah. So, basically, I mean, like we talked about, it,

April's job was in jeopardy, and it kind of came down to her and Danny. And they kind of knew it was going to be one or the other. They're at very similar positions. They do. And Danny mentioned, you know, April's been there slightly longer than he had. So he thought, well, it's going to be me, you know? Right. And at that point, he didn't know that her cancer had come back or anything. So...

How do you guys feel about Raquel's decision to kind of put that all on April? It wasn't fair. Yeah. Given that she was sick, it wasn't fair, but I...

I get her position in doing that because she knows April. She knows that she wouldn't want to do that to Danny. And if Danny was going to get fired for her to take a month off, I don't know. I get that she has cancer and you can't fire her because she has cancer, but it's also not fair to Danny who could be working there for the next month. So I don't know. They don't...

They could make her pay, like, have the whole month unpaid. I mean, it sucks. Right. But then, you know, they'll reevaluate her position, both of their positions when they return to work. I agree. That could have been a better... I think it was the only thing that she could do was to kind of give it to April because it's true. Like, there are laws that protect people who have disabilities or have sicknesses and...

truthfully, she could not have let April go because she was sick. And even though that wasn't the reason, whatever, like, that doesn't matter. Like, April could have sued. Not that she would, but still, Raquel's got to protect her new job. She's got to protect the paper, what she wants, you know? So, I just, I feel like it was kind of a good thing that she went to April and let her decide. At least it was her decision. Even though it was kind of...

kind of backhanded. I feel like had that happened in real life, like that exact situation, April could still go and be like, she bullied me into quitting. Oh, for sure. For sure. But April's not like that. But yeah, it's true. She kind of did back her into a corner. And I do feel like Raquel was there with kind of the ulterior motive, like, listen, I really need you to quit. You know? So we... I mean, honestly, like, April... If the paper is in such a dire shape as what they're presenting, which...

Let's face it, it is. They're firing people left and right. All papers are. Exactly. They've gone through three different bosses and editors in the last season, however many weeks that has been. So it's a really bad situation. So the last thing they need, A, is to pay someone to not be there, and B, a lawsuit. Sure.

True. So really, I think Raquel's mind was already made up. Like, I got to get this girl to quit. I got to guilt her into it. But I don't really blame her. Again, like, she's just doing what she has to do. Yeah, exactly. And I think that she could use the time because when she gets through chemo, as she will, she doesn't need to go back to work right away. I mean, she needs to take, I know that she's going to have been in the hospital, but she needs to take some time to just kind of re-evaluate, like reintroduce her life into it.

her life. Yeah. I just think that it opens up a whole new side because we don't know what's going to happen in season two, the season finale. So it opens up a whole new avenue for April, but it also sets her up to kind of fail as we saw. She was really deflated. Besides the fact that she has cancer again and she's got to deal with all of this stuff again,

Let's kick her while she's down and have her nothing to come back to. And it's kind of strange if you put it at the season finale or the season premiere where it was like, oh, look at her. She's got this great boyfriend, this great new job. And look at everything that she's lost because of her sickness. Right. Yeah. Yeah.

So this episode we also got to see the return of George and given the circumstances with April it kind of makes sense. I think I'm going to toot my own horn. I called that one. Yeah. You pretty much called it like on the money. So you know obviously we are glad that you know George is back in the picture. It's

good timing given what April's going through. He is very knowledgeable in her treatment options and stuff like that and can kind of handle the family issues that are going on and help them through it. I think this is a perfect time regardless if he's dating... What is her name here? May. I think regardless if he's dating her or not or if she's just a colleague, whatever, they go way back. I think...

That's going to go to the wayside, and I think him and Sarah are going to kind of... Let's hope. I agree. Let's hope. Well, I don't care for him. I don't think George and, like, that... I don't even want to remember her name because she's probably going to be gone later. I don't think they're going to last really long because he didn't necessarily say that they were, like, a for-sure thing. She was a rebound.

You write. She totally is a rebound. She's just there just for fun. It's a Julie situation. Right? Wait, wait. I was going to say the exact same thing. Friends. Friends. I'm only on season one, guys, okay? How are you not done yet? Because I got stuck on Parenthood. I started out on Friends, and now I'm on Parenthood, and Netflix controls my life. Work on that. We don't have chasing life. Now you've got so much free time. Now I've got some time. You're right. You're right. Um...

Also, during this whole day of events, April and Greer go out to celebrate Greer's 17th birthday because... Brenna. Brenna. Oh my gosh, I did it again. Oh, wait a second. Greer wasn't in this episode. I wrote it down in my notes and she's like, no, that's... I'm totally... Sorry. Brenna. They're one and the same. They are. I'm always like, Brenna and Greer. Sorry. Brenna celebrate her 18th birthday or 17th... Oh my god, I'm...

She's having a birthday. She's having a birthday, people. So they went out to celebrate her birthday, which is really sweet because April's going to be in the hospital when her actual birthday is. But it's not like Brenna can't go to the hospital and they can't do it. Well, that's what they said. But April said, you know, outside, like in public, at a restaurant kind of thing. Being in a hospital is kind of...

depressing. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. And she's going to be going through chemo. She's going to be weak. Yeah. It's not the same, you know. Yeah. Yeah, that wouldn't be a fun 17th birthday for Brenna. No. Like, let me watch you. Yeah. I feel like the whole year hasn't been very fun for Brenna. No. No, I feel like she's much more mature than 17. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. Especially since the beginning. Totally. Yeah, she was all crazy. She's completely different. Partying, all that fun stuff. Mm-hmm.

Which kind of leads us into April's and Natalie's conversation that they had. I thought it was...

really sweet you know thing that April went and did this because here she is mad at Natalie she goes there and says you know look after my sister she's your sister now yeah yeah that was really sweet it was really that was kind of emotional I felt something maybe not a tear but a little oh gosh like I had a little twinge exactly I'm like oh what is this I'm feeling yeah it might have been the margarita the margarita

But I mean, I think, you know, April isn't completely forgiving the whole Dominic situation. No. But she's kind of...

giving it a little bit of a hall pass at the moment. I think she realizes in the grand scheme of things, what does it matter? Her cancer is back. She has to deal with so much more and she's got a great guy, so why does she even care? And, I mean, let's be real here. She needs to be really nice to Natalie. Yeah. Because Natalie might save her life. Yeah. Well, I feel like Natalie's going to, I feel like at this point, Natalie is going to save her life regardless. Yeah. Like, if she's going to be mad at her or whatever. Yeah.

whatever. That'd be the worst ever if she didn't. It would be the worst. It'd be terrible, but I think she's way past that. Okay. We'll save it for later. Save it for later. Um, also, uh, April had her lovely Thanksgiving dinner and,

And that wasn't so lovely, but that's okay. I mean, at least they tried. It was a nice gesture. Thanksgiving is never perfect, so it was great. That is very true. Like, who's to say it would have been great on Thanksgiving? That's true. If you were not in the hospital, though, it would have been great. Yeah, that is so true.

But they tried and it was good. Although Raquel came in and ruined it all. Yeah. But you know, what are you going to do with bitch bosses? I think that's so weird that she would show up at her house. I know, right? It's a call.

Right. Yeah. You would call. I never get like, hey, can you come into the office? I need to talk to you. Did she know? Wait, she didn't know that her cancer was back when she said, okay, I'm not saying. Well, maybe that's why. Because she knew she wasn't going to be there. What are you going to do? Go to the hospital? Well, you could call. Call would have been better, I feel like. Like send an email? I don't know. That's a little, ah. It's a little impersonal. Well, that, see, an email or a text is a paper trail. You're right. Because they can't have this lawsuit.

So, you know. I bet you she went to her house so there was no trace of it. Exactly. That is so shady. It is, but then you could totally see, like, in her eyes that she was hurting. Oh, yeah. Like, you know, she didn't want to fire her. I think that it's nice that this part of the season we've really seen Raquel not be just, like, bitch Raquel. But she as a human being that is...

you know, has feelings and you can tell that she, she feels for people, but ultimately it's just her job that comes first, which is fine because that's just how she is. I think she, I feel like she also probably sees herself in April too. So that's probably why she like went directly to her and asked. And she was probably, I feel like she was probably leaning more towards like, oh, don't quit, you know, like just take the job and be ruthless. But she didn't. And it was really, I felt like it was really surprising to her.

her. Because that's where her and April are different. Yeah. Exactly. It'll be interesting to see how if they're going to show like Danny's reaction to all of this and if he says something to April after this and kind of how that relationship is. It's just going to be interesting to see everything because now April doesn't have a place to work. So are we ever going to see like the newspaper again? Is it just going to go away? I feel like she's going to get hired back. I feel like yeah. I mean she could but I feel like

Her chemo treatments are going to go on for another, like, three months. I think a month is a little short. But I think it's going to go on for a few months. And who knows where the paper is going to be. Exactly. And I feel like when that time is, they're going to give her her job back. Yeah. Because she is a really good reporter. She's great, yeah. And she's broken all these stories. And she's probably really cheap because she's young. Yeah.

You're right. Way to be realistic about it. And she lives with her mom still. Yeah. Exactly. Which I love that Raquel walked in the house and was like, you have a really nice house. And I'm like, it's her mom's. Yeah, right, right. My 20,000-year salary pays for this. Yeah. Then we get to the garay-poo-garay-poo-pong. I'm like, how nice would that be? I know, right? But, yeah. So, um...

I don't know if I should get to this part yet. Leo, Leo. Just do it. Oh my, I'm going to roll my eyes. You're going to roll your eyes? Yes, I am going to roll my eyes. This is not a good thing. Okay, go. You guys.

My heart's beating right now. I have mixed feelings about this. My heart's beating too. Leo, for all of you who don't know what's going on, propose. Which I hope you do. I hope 21. He proposed. He proposed. And I felt like I was sitting in that chair right there. And I was like, yes. No. Yes. No. A thousand times yes. Yes. Yes. Okay, Michelle, mixed feelings. Tell us. Okay. I feel like it was kind of a cop out. Yep.

First of all, because, like... Yep. Because, okay, I get that he said, you know, you don't know where life is going to take you. I totally get that. And, like, you know, you want to take a step into that. And I'm not saying that I'm, like, Team Leo or Team Dominic. I'm leaning more towards Leo, but... Sorry. Dominic's done. But, yeah, like, I just feel like it was, like, a huge cop-out. Like, you know, it's, like...

I feel like it's kind of like making your loved one sign a prenup before you get married. Like, you're expecting that relationship to just kind of fail. You know what I mean? I don't know if that's necessarily... I have a different outlook. I just kind of feel like that's what it's like. He's just like, you know, you're not really going to survive, so we're going to get married before anything happens. I'm sure they're not going to get rid of her. I think...

No, I think that, no, I don't think that that's what it is at all. I think it's him being like, we don't know what's going to happen in life. We don't know if we're going to live for 100 years or, you know, 10 more minutes. So whatever time we have, I want to spend it with you. But you don't have to get married. Exactly. You can be together. But that's something that April wants. She never said that. Why not?

Hold on. Nope, nope, nope. She said that when she was at best work looking at the wedding dress, she said she didn't know if she was ever going to see her wedding dress. And then she also told Raquel, she was like, you know, I also want a family. Like, I want that life. Like, I don't want to be like you. I want to be, I think it's possible to be successful and have a family. So she does want it, but it's like, no. Exactly, no. Is he the right guy? He doesn't even have a job. Who does he

need a job. He's got his dad's money. He even said, like, our relationship has never been normal, so why? Like, why do they need to follow normal rules? I don't know. I don't think that every relationship follows, you know, the same course or a similar course. Who's to say that someone... For sure, for sure. But I just think...

I agree with you. It was a cop-out. It's too soon. It was just... Too early in the series. That's true. Because I'm going to say my prediction. Well, I mean, it took her a season to plan her wedding. Yeah. So she's going to do it all Grey's Anatomy style and plan her wedding at the hospital bed? We have to talk about the fact that Leo's character was not supposed to go this far. Well, that's why I think that what's going to happen is... He's going to die. He's going to die before this. We're going to think that...

that she's, you know, coming out of it and dying and then he's gonna die. Yeah. I think that that's what they're gonna do to her. That would be the worst thing ever. Not only do you lose your boyfriend, you lose your husband? What is,

What is this show? But at least you got to... They're going to make us cry again. At least she got to spend whatever time she had with him. But she could do that without getting married. But at least she got to spend it as his wife. I don't know. This just reminds me of all these tabloids. It's been very popular lately. And I'm not saying this is a wrong thing. But in real life, on the Today Show and all those other sappy shows, you see these fathers walk their daughters down the aisle and all these things. And I'm just like...

celebrate what you have, but, like, at the same time, like, I don't know. I just... I never, like, bought into that. Like, I feel like for me, like, I'm getting married, and if I knew something, like, you know, I don't know that I would push everything up because that's just not... You can't rush your life like that, like, I feel like. Well, George does have to go back to San Francisco soon, and he can walk her down the aisle. So I'm just throwing that out there. The hospital aisle. I was in her situation, and I thought that I might die.

I would want to marry... I would want to get married to my, like, significant other. I don't know. I just don't know. I kind of feel like partially, though, like, if you do live and you're a significant other... Yeah! Like, I would be a little depressed. Like, oh, my God, I have to get married again. Like... Or... I'm 24. I've been married twice. Or what if they get married and they both live...

live and then they hate each other and they're like oh my gosh why did we get married when we thought we were dying? That's what divorce is for. You probably thought that was what divorce was for. So I would like everybody on Twitter to tweet us are you yes for the marriage or no for the marriage and hashtag

Team yes. Yeah. Team no. And the hashtag is ABTVChasingLife. Yes or no? I don't know. Well, she's doing it anyway. I've been really into marriage recently. So maybe it's just... Coming from a woman who's getting married, it's not worth it. It's just like me fulfilling my own fantasy. With Leo. With Leo. That's true. Okay. I will say, it is awfully romantic. And one of my favorite movies is A Walk to Remember. Yeah. But...

But that was a different situation. I know. It's very similar. Mandy Moore. Oh,

Maybe more forever. Didn't we have a similar thing? I think we did. We want to remind everybody to make sure to subscribe to us on YouTube. So make sure to go to youtube.com backslash afterbuzzTV and hit the subscribe button. And make sure to rate us five stars if you are listening to us on iTunes. And make sure to vote team no. No, vote team yes. No. Okay.

Okay, so we are going to get into the scene that literally made me cry off my spray tan last night, guys. Oh, God.

Oh, man. I would usually say, like, my normal catchphrase, but I feel like it would be so inappropriate. I mean, when does that stop you? Say it, say it. I was going to say that killed me, like, inside. She literally wrote dead to my tweet, and I said, what, my spray tan? She said, yes. She was like, my spray tan or the fact that, you know, you still might be dying? And I was like, oh, to your spray tan, I'm not that cold-hearted. I don't know.

The cold-hearted twins are over on this side of the table. Whatever. We are realists, okay? We don't live in this fantasy fantasy world. I am a romantic. We are so in fantasy world over here. Oh, God. You can write your own fanfic. Yeah. I do in my head. Yes, you do. I just don't share them with everybody for everyone's benefit.

So let's talk about this scene because April shows up to do her chemotherapy. She has, well, first I should say she shaved her hair off again. I didn't get that either. I don't know. Which I felt so. She thought she was going to lose it anyways. She's going to lose it. Well, yeah. But I felt very sad for her in that moment because I was kind of like.

Where's Leo again to do this for her? Another reason why they shouldn't get married. Well, he was in bed sleeping, okay? So then when he comes out... I mean... But...

Yeah, and so, but then he was there. Then, like, I got the, oh, afterwards when he saw her. I thought that was kind of a symbol of her giving up. Because, like, I feel like if you hold on to things that you can. Like, she's obviously lost her health. She's lost her job. So hold on to something so small like your hair while you still can. Like, it's going to go away. But, like, just given an ounce of, you know, strength. But then for her to just do it herself, it's like...

She's accepted it and she's just like, this is it. Like, this is my life. Whatever. Which is kind of her attitude when she showed up that day. It was kind of like, let's do this. Let's do this. Let's get it over with. But not in a good way. Like, let's do this. No. Get through it. Like, in a horrible way. Like, she was like, I don't care what the outcome is. Exactly. And I think, you know, Dr. Hamburg and the nurse picked up on that right away. Right.

And was like, you know, you have to take off your hat. And she was like, yeah, I know. Like, kind of, like, giving attitude. And I was like... She has a right to be upset. She totally, 100% has a right to be upset. But the doctor was right, too. Like, half the battle is your mental. Exactly. And I think, you know, that moment when Dr. Hamburg took her into the room...

And made her get out that anger, get out every frustration she's going through, and just release everything was probably, I want to say, one of the most powerful scenes we've had this entire season. Right. It really was. Not the fact that I start crying. I think that April, she needed to share her feelings with Dr. Hamburg because...

It is kind of her fault. I mean, it's not totally her fault. She's not God or, you know, she doesn't make these decisions. But, I mean, she didn't do the best of her ability to prepare her for this, I think. Well, I kind of feel like at the same time, like, things change in a matter of minutes and hours and days. And, like, she was healthy for that day when she came in that she had, like, a nosebleed or whatever. And then...

stuff just happens and it changes. And it's like, you can't really blame Dr. Hamburg as much as you should. I think she's blaming her because that day she came in, she was told she was healthy when in reality the tests were done wrong by Dr. Hamburg or whoever was doing the test. And then she was told, yeah, you're fine.

The thing is that she could have had so much more time to get herself treatment. You know, if they had known... Wow, how many episodes was this? Like, five episodes ago? So let's just say five weeks. Like, that's so much time when we're talking about life and death. When we're talking about getting treatment now versus later. Like, she's in a situation where she's got, like, six weeks if she doesn't get cancer. It could have been...

way, way better had they caught it. Yeah, and exactly, because if Dr. Hamburg's now saying, you need to get chemo starting today, if it's that serious, like...

You should have caught this like weeks ago. I don't think that it changes that quick. I think that there had to have been some sort of signal in her test and obviously enough for her to retest some things. If it was that dire, why did she wait until morning? Like she called and left a message. Like I'd be like calling every five minutes. Be like, get here right now. Let me tell you right this second. Well, because things aren't going to change overnight, I guess. But obviously.

but they could because she, I mean, if it changed, she couldn't even wait one day. She had to start the very next day. So obviously like it was a dire situation. Right. Yeah. Cause April wanted to wait, what a week or whatever. And she's like, no, you can't. Or like two weeks. I think she said two weeks. I think that's what happened.

She was like, give me some time. Yeah, she said I need to, like, give me, I think it was like a couple weeks. She was like, I need to tie up some loose ends that are going on in my life. And when she said no, she's like, how do you expect me to drop everything in less than 24 hours? Well, you just do what you have to do. Yeah. Yeah, I am.

I mean, if you guys were in that situation, would you, you would drop everything? I feel like she, yeah, like, I feel like she took a little too long when she, like, went into work and, like, just kind of danced around the situation. I feel like I would have been like, okay, Raquel, I know you're, like, busy, but I really need to talk to you right now. And I think Raquel would have given her the time. I agree. Would have been like, okay, what do you need to tell me? I'm sure she would have said something, you know, sassy, like, you have five seconds.

Right. But still, it would... Yeah. How many seconds do I have left? It doesn't take that long. Right. Yeah, because it was very weird that, like, April almost went in there in the beginning of the day and got the door slammed in her face. Well, she didn't really go. She just kind of looked. Yeah. I mean, I get... But still. I mean, and April...

In April's mind, though, she still thought, like, you know, she was going to keep her job. That's what she wanted to do. She didn't realize going in that it was going to be, you know, all hell breaking loose and everybody was being let go. Like, that wasn't what she knew, so. Right. Yeah. She definitely went in there that day thinking, oh, everything's fine and dandy and I'm going to have time taken off again and. Right. I don't know. I would have just.

gone in there and ripped it off like a band-aid because I feel like there are more important things like as much as I feel like work is very important and to like you know furthering your career and stuff like that I feel like there's your health is so much more important in the grand scheme of your life there are so many other things that you need to wrap up exactly it's like

F work. It's like if I die, I don't think that work is going to be the biggest thing, the biggest loss. And as horrible, I feel like saying this, I just don't think anyone would be like, oh my god, I can't believe. They would for a couple days, but they wouldn't be like, oh my god. Not like her loved ones and the rest of the people in her life. She has such great people. That's where her time needs to be spent. Exactly. I agree.

Real quick, I just wanted to point out that Grandma had some fantastic lines in this episode. I didn't write any of them down because there were so many of them, but there were just so many little one-liners here and there that she was throwing. I'm like, I love Grandma so much. She's just so cute. I loved her reactions to cooking. I really want to have her on this show. Yeah, we should. We should try and get her. We definitely need to get her. I know. Did she bring cookies or something? Yeah.

Or wine. Is that what she said? She'd probably be like, you guys can make the cookies. Yeah. She's like, you need to bake me cookies. I'll bring milk. There we go. There we go. That'd be so cute. That'd be adorable. Um,

And also, kind of some news and gossip, they started filming for next season this week, which is super exciting. I tweeted Italia this morning and was like, I wish you could come in today because there's so much to say on this episode. And she was like, just bring After Buzz to set. Oh, she tweeted you back? Yeah.

Is that an invitation? We'll be there. We'll just bring the whole After Buzz crew there. We'll make this work, y'all. I got ways. I know. But I actually really do think we should, for everybody out there, maybe do a day where we do go there and maybe do a little behind the scenes. That would be so fun. We are going to look into that for all of you guys. Probably for season two.

For the initial one coming back. When is it coming back anyway? Summer, I believe. I feel like we have about six to eight weeks. Not four to six. I don't know. Throw our numbers out there. Two to twelve. Forty-eight to thirty-six. Oh, gosh.

Sorry. We just wanted to be back. We're all really tired. We have nothing to look forward to now. I know. I know. What am I going to do with my Tuesdays? I don't know. Okay, here's what you can do. We can re-watch the whole series. We can re-do. Because I feel like the first part of season one was so long ago. Yeah. Listen, I will give my predictions and I will be right. Yeah. Because I will know what will happen next.

I feel like it's hard to predict this show, though. It really is. Because I'm like, what's, like, they could literally do anything. They could be like, Well, as of this point, they've tried. Yeah, they've really tried. I mean, I guess we know that there's a season two, so, like, April's not gonna die. Right. But who's to say she's not gonna spend all of season two in the hospital?

Stucky. Yeah, that'd be kind of boring. It would be really boring. It would feel like a more, like, Grey's Anatomy vibe. Yeah, but I mean, that could be kind of hot, too. We've talked about Hot Doctors. Oh, okay. So, I have a question for you guys. If you could get three wishes that you want to see, not predictions, but three, like, totally whatever you want, what would you want to see for season two? Like, Leo,

That's all three of us are thinking. Great. Great. I'd like to see them get married. I would. That's all? No. I think that's such a horrible idea.

I just think it is. I get how you feel that way, I do. But I don't know. I think if she's going to die, you know. But what if she's not? Then she'll be like, well, this whole wedding was wasted on this jackass. We rushed into this. Seriously. Well, I would like to see...

I would like to see her travel. Like, take charge of her own personal life and just... See, like, what else is out there for her because so far it's like she has her friends and she has her job. But there's got to be more that she wants out of life.

I feel like any person other than Raquel needs something other than just their job and their career. What if when we come back they just don't acknowledge her being in the hospital but they just show her a

a paradise-like situation. That would be like, I would think she's in heaven and she dies. No, that would be horrible. That would be your first reaction, but then she'd be like, oh, it's so nice to be out of the hospital. You know what I mean? Yeah. It would be like a...

It'll be like one of those shows where they show you the end and then they'll go back and see where everything went. I want her to have a new man. Maybe a hot doctor? Maybe. But in that case, Leo would have to die or something. I really don't want to see that happen. Well, he doesn't have to die for her to get a new man.

Maybe they'll just break up. I told you, he's going to go to the Peace Corps. No. They're going to have a fallout. He's going to go to the Peace Corps. The Peace Corps? He can't go to the Peace Corps. Why not? He could if he had cancer. He had to have cancer. But it's gone for now. Wait a minute. You can't go to the Peace Corps if you've ever had cancer. Well, not if you're in remission. I feel like that's not something that's a big shot. I don't think he'll be able to...

Like, do the fitness part of it. Yeah, and what if you have, like, an urgent need when you're in Africa? Okay, that's right. You guys, I did say it could be anything. Because this makes sense. This makes sense. So, obviously, Leo has no purpose in his life, and he can't find a job. He's boring. He likes to travel. He likes to go overseas. He's already mentioned that. So, if he joins the Peace Corps, he will, A, have...

Do you get paid in the Peace Corps? Yeah, barely. So a job, and it's like a great job where he's helping people. He will refine his purpose in life. That's true. And then he'll start some foundation that him and April can, maybe if they get married. I'm just spitballing here. Yeah. But if they get married...

They can have this foundation together and help children in Africa. April and Leo. Cancer. African cancer jobs. They help kids with cancer in Africa. That's great. That's great. Okay. I did ask you whatever you wanted. You did. You opened a door. But they're only friends because she has her new hot doctor who helps them. Okay. Okay.

Okay. We're going to move on to Michelle's three wishes. I'm sure you had a wish. Right? Yeah. I had one. It's your turn. Yeah. Oh, it's my turn. Yeah. Okay. So April is going to stay alive. Obviously. Well, that's one of mine too. And I'm going to make... I got four. Okay. Because it was my question. So I got four. Okay. So April's going to stay alive. Okay. Leo's going to stay alive. Okay. They're going to get married. Okay.

But. Babies. I want them to have babies. Lots of them. We still get a hot doctor. Who is Dr. McAngers? Beth. Oh. Beth. She needs a place to go. Yes. I want Beth to have a new guy. We need Beth to have a really hot doctor. What if Beth and Leo hooked up? Oh, heck no. No. I love that part of them inside the salon, though. Yeah. That was funny. That was funny. That was my favorite part. Yeah. That was really cute. It was.

But yeah. Yeah, no. Them hooking up. No. No. Sorry. Okay, so let's get into some real predictions. Why don't we? Oh, wait. That wasn't it? No. No, those were our wishes. Those were our wishes. All right. Real predictions for season two of Chasing Life. Okay. Okay. Oh, God. Go, go, go. I need to stop sitting in the seat. I know. That's why I switched. Because I just look directly at you every time. Okay, let's see. I...

that Leo and April are going to have a fallout. They're not going to get married per se, but I feel like on the road to their marriage, they're going to experience some bumps on the road. She totally agrees with me. I do. This could be your prediction too. Nope. I do. And I think Sarah and George are going to get back together. Yay! Hopefully. Hopefully. Fingers crossed. And Brenna is...

just going to find herself. Like, she won't need Greer, she won't need

And she's got this whole new donor thing. I know, we didn't even talk about him. Oh my gosh, we didn't talk about him. Finn. Oh yeah. He's a new character that we're going to get to know. They revealed they were in the same city. Yeah. How weird was that? That was crazy. I thought she was going to get hit by a car the whole time. It was just like one of those things. Oh my god, me too. Okay, I pictured that happening. I was like, oh my god, she's crossing the street. That's what I said. She's on the phone. I was like, oh my god.

And you had told me the last 10 minutes of the show was going to be crazy. And I was like, oh my God, Brenna's going to get hit by a bus or something. That's what I thought. And they're both just going to be in the hospital. I'm glad. No, she didn't. Right. How crazy was it that they like totally ran into each other? I'm super excited that they're totally going to meet and have a connection. And it's going to be huge in season two. Yeah. Okay. I have a wild, crazy prediction. Okay. All right. So I don't,

think that Natalie's going to be able to help April with her bone marrow transplant because she's pregnant! With Dominic's kid? Yes! Oh my god. Yes! Can you imagine? Can you imagine? No! No! Obviously I'm not the only one thinking about this because they brought it up because she was talking about the abortion. She's like, no judgment. Like, what? They brought it up. Like, it's gonna happen. Or maybe she had a surgery. She has to choose between saving April or having her baby. Yep.

Oh my god, that would be the worst. Oh my gosh. I think that that would be incredible. I mean, I don't want her to... That's a great storyline, is it not? I didn't even think about that. That is so crazy. That would be like the worst decision ever. Yeah, that's why it's a great storyline. If that does happen, I'm going to throw my phone out the window. Yeah, I agree. I'm going to throw my phone. I think they set it up. They totally did and I missed it. That's so funny.

That's what I'm saying. I just thought that whole scene was like her opening up because now she's going to kind of have to be the bigger sister in the little sister relationship. Possibly, but my prediction. That's what I thought it was. But you could be so right on. But I played it the first time this season. I've been pretty bad.

Oh, my God. So I think that... I definitely think that you're correct and that there's going to be some bumps in the road for this marriage. But I'm hoping slash thinking it's going to happen. I also think that George is going to move back to Boston due to April's condition, whether it's worsening or whatnot. And, yeah, I think that there's definitely something with this new character, Finn, whether he's just...

Perhaps a love interest for Brenna. I don't know how young he is. Or whether he's just, you know, a good friend for her. I don't know. We'll see. I forgot I wrote down this quote about what Finn said. And I just wanted to say it because I thought it was, like, a really good quote. And he said, if there's someone out there willing to give me a second chance, I'm not going to waste it.

and I just thought that was like such a good quote for this show like it really is about second chances you know for everyone for everybody you know I just second chance at love for George and Sarah exactly second chance at life for April and Leo and April and Natalie a second chance you know I just yeah it's so big with the whole entire show I just thought that was a really great quote

Let's see my prediction. I think George and Sarah are definitely going to have some sparks again, which I love. Watching the show, the whole Natalie and Brenna thing, I felt that that was going to bring them closer together. So I think that relationship is definitely going to grow. Strengthening. Yeah, it's going to really strengthen their relationship.

I think Leo and April's relationship is definitely going to strengthen because of her having to go through all this. And I think he is really going to grow as a person because he's now on the other side of things, which is completely different from him, which we saw in the episode. You know, him kind of like not knowing what to do being that person.

that's not going into the hospital and having those feelings and emotions of April going in there. So I think this is going to change him as a person, and you guys will like him more after this. I don't dislike him. I don't like him. I do like him. I love that they both get super defensive, by the way. That was so great. It's not that I don't like him. I like him. I do. It's just...

They're not right for each other and they don't need to get married. No, okay. I'm not saying that they're not right for each other. I just don't think they should get married. Okay. I've been a biased person. This is my prediction, guys, and they are getting married. They better not. And honestly, it's kind of like jumping the shark on the show. Like, for real. Like, there's no more drama once they're happily married unless they're unhappily married. True. The show's also kind of realistic, so they're not going to be happily married. They are going to go do some things. Okay? Yeah. Exactly. All right.
