In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Praveen Kumar Teotia in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is an Ex MARCOS, a Gallantry Shaurya Chakra awardee, and a 26/11 Warrior. His story will give you goosebumps and inspire you to the core.
In this episode, we talked about why he wanted to go to MARCOS, what is the selection process of MARCOS, what happens in all four phases of selection for MARCOS, what is the toughest part of their training and the scary stories from their training. We then talked about the health issues that one can go through during these selection processes, the hell week, and what they do while taking the oath while becoming MARCOS commandos. We also talked about how they operate missions underwater, and the difficulties that they go through.
Towards the end, we talked about his near-death experience while on a mission and how he was saved. He also shared his entire 26/ 11 story, his role in saving people, how he was on the verge of dying and his life after undergoing several surgeries.
