"Poverty causes crime. Racism causes obesity. Climate change causes mental health issues." Many of us may think that these kinds of assertions reflect recent irrational outgrowths of liberal thought. "No one would say such a thing 100 years ago!" -- Right? Actually--someone did. For this month’s thinker Julie discusses Genevan philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau with Spencer Klavan, host of Young Heretics podcast and author of How to Save the West: Ancient Wisdom for 5 Modern Crises https://a.co/d/eCxeWvZ)Check out other Julie Hartman videos: https://www.youtube.com/@juliehartman) Follow Julie Hartman on social media: Website: https://juliehartmanshow.com/)Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/julierhartman/)
