"Friendship is not a gift, but the result of hard work."
In today's episode, Abby and Margot explore friendship. They discuss what it was like finding and forming relationships with others as children, youth, and then as adults. The Warriors reveal some of the ways anxiety plays(ed) a role in connecting with people and trying to establish and maintain a friendship with them. We learn some of the hurdles and struggles that can often make maintaining connections challenging, and what's made it easier. Through storytelling, Margot and Abby highlight some of the strategies that they've found useful in forming bonds with others, and how to push past comfort zones and step into vulnerability and authenticity. For this week's active practice segment, the Warriors offer the listeners a chance to reflect on how friendships play(ed) a role in their life, and how to change the narrative by noticing thoughts, journaling, and gaining clarity over what is blocking them from moving forward.
