"In this moment, I am ok."- Jen Salk
On today's episode Abby and Margot welcome their next guest, Jen Salk. Jen is a Mom, Wife, and Mental Health Advocate from South Florida. She shares about dealing with childhood trauma and having a deep abandonment wound, as well as years spent overthinking and creating narratives in her head relating to interpersonal relationships. She talks about having migraines, and teeth grinding and feeling a lump in her throat from always stuffing down her emotions for fear of abandonment and being a burden. Jen has worked super hard on herself in recent years, making strides in therapy, and filling her Anxiety Warrior toolbox with so many valuable coping skills and strategies. Such as grounding practices, creating a sensory kit, post-it affirmations, learning to trust herself and much more. Jen acknowledges that healing isn't linear and she's a fierce advocate for showing others that it's important to show up for yourself with consistency and love.
