O Gracious Light, pure brightness of
the ever-living Father above,
O Light of glory and joyfulness
O Jesus Christ, holy and blessed
As we approach the setting sun,
our eyes behold the vesper light.
We sing your praises into the night,
O God: the Father, Spirit, and Son.
For you are worthy at all times
to be praised with joyful words.
O Son of God, O Giver of Life,
be glorified through all the worlds.
