Mark Andriessen and Ben Horowitz just hosted a room on clubhouse, and I thought I would recap a few interesting things that came up. One of the most interesting topics that Mark brought up was just that large scale systems usually don't age well, and it applies to a lot of things, especially our government. Basically, it's really hard to make a large scale system work in the first place and those things generally don't hold together very long, and he points out that, basically, what we've done is we've come up with some systems that worked really well at some point in time And it's really crazy that we were able to seal them up as large as we did, and we just got into the problem that it takes a lot of work from a lot of people to change them. And so it's creating a lot of problems in our politics today, but that was an interesting perspective.
