Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with *Tenor Saxophonist *Dustin Laurenzi, *Bassist/Singer *Katie Ernst & *Drummer *Andrew Green of the Chicago-based Band Twin Talk .. We caught up with this trio to talk about their latest 2024 release called On Twin Talk Live. It’s a release that blurs the boundaries between near-telepathic collective improvisation and highly composed songs - out now on CD, Digital and Vinyl. It is the fourth album for this long-running band formed back in 2012. They have steadily drifted from the conventions of the saxophone trio. This trio strives to make their music elastic, spontaneous, and open, embracing new inspirations without stifling the improvisational heart of their work. Dig this interview.
