Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with *NYC-based Jazz Trumpeter * David Scott *on the Winter 2024 Kansas City Visit of Gigs * .. On one of his bi-yearly visits, one of Kansas City’s most accomplished jazz exports will play a trio of gigs around town. On Thursday Dec 26th at 6pm he will be joining the Multiple Worlds Quintet with Michael Eaton at the Westport Coffeehouse. On December 27, he will be headlining with his quartet at The Blue Room for two shows at 8:30 ant 10 pm. Finally, on Sunday December 29, 2024 he will be at the Westport Coffeehouse as a part of the Tim Brewer Big Band. We talk about 2024, his new album Setting Standards, who will be with him on the KC gigs and much more. Always great to catch up with a treasure like Dave. Dig in.
