Hello everyone, Gary Lineker here with a quick message from the Resties football team to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you very much for all your support over the last year. We've had an awful lot of fun and it's great to hear that so many of you have been enjoying it as well.

And of course, there's lots more for us to look forward to in 2025. We've got a Premier League title race that surprised all of us so far, plenty of British clubs going well in Europe and a relegation battle that is sure to have me biting my fingernails right up until the final weeks of May. We'll also be keeping an eye on the Championship title race, all the drama unfolding in the rest of the Football League and the big headlines from around Europe.

On top of that, it'll be another busy summer with the Women's Euros and the new Club World Cup. The Lionesses will be heading to Switzerland as defending champions, of course, so we're looking forward to seeing if they can defend their title. For now, though, have a fantastic Christmas Day and enjoy a bit of overindulgence. I'm hosting Match of the Day tomorrow with Alan on punditry duty alongside me.
