The Classic Album Clash is back, and this time the debate centers again on The Police! Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, music industry vet Paul Gargano, and Rybo from The Winnipeggers join to debate “Reggatta de Blanc” vs “Zenyatta Mondatta.” They examine cover art, songwriting, performances, and production, and of course, do the anticipated track-by-track breakdown, ultimately voting on which album is best. There’s plenty of trivia and stories along the way including which song is based on an old Bob Newhart sketch, which album is drummer Stuart Copeland’s favorite, why Sting literally buried the master tape for one song in the backyard of the studio, and how Anthrax ended up covering “No Time This Time.”
