Welcome to season 2!

For our 6th episode of the Women in Dentistry podcast, we have Dr. Irene Marron-Tarrazzi. She is a Board Certified Periodontist based in Miami, Florida, was the first and youngest vice president of the American Dental Association. She has had many accomplishments including her recent awards as the 2018 Florida Dentist of the Year, and the 2017 National Lucy Hobbs Project Award “Woman-to-Watch”.

She owns a private practice in Miami, Florida. She is also a past member of the ADA New Dentist Committee, an alumna of the ADA Institute for Diversity in Leadership and a speaker for the ADA Success Program. Has served as president of the South Florida District Dental Association and treasurer of the FDA Political Action Committee.

Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Marron-Tarrazzi studied dentistry at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She completed her post-doctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science degree, and in 2003, Dr. Marron- Tarrazzi earned her dental degree from Nova Southeastern University.
