Welcome to season 2!
For our 4th episode of the Women in Dentistry podcast, we have Ms. Pat Crane Ramsay. Pat began her dental hygiene career in clinical practice after graduating from the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists in 1966. After 22 years in clinical practice in dental offices in New Bedford and Fall River Massachusetts, Pat’s professional career expanded into a variety of areas. She is an experienced administrator with skills in operations management, event planning, volunteer support, friend and fundraising, health care, and public speaking. She possesses hands-on experience in social media and its importance in today’s world.
Pat’s professional career also includes volunteer involvement in organized dental hygiene. She was instrumental in the development of the Southeastern component of the Massachusetts Dental Hygienists Association. She served on and chaired multiple MDHA committees, held multiple offices, including that of the President. Her involvement with the American Dental Hygienist’s Association included serving and chairing multiple committees and councils, serving as District I Trustee and President. She also served as the first chair person of the ADHA Institute for Oral Health which was created to provide educational scholarships, fellowships, research grants, and community service grants to dental hygienists throughout the country.
