In a busy day in Angola, U.S. President Joe Biden toured facilities at the Lobito port, the terminus of the U.S-backed Lobito corridor rail project, joined by the presidents of Angola, Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The group Preventing and Ending Mass Atrocities, PAEMA, recently released a blueprint to put Sudan on a path to peace after 19 months of war, calling for an international presence to protect civilians. Botswana has dropped 14 criminal charges against former President Ian Khama, including illegal possession of firearms and corruption.
