Eating utensils have been used since the Stone Age of mankind. During this time, eating utensils consisted of simple sharp stones intended for cutting meat and fruit. The Neolithic times brought the rise of technology that improved tools that were needed for production, preparation and eating of food. Some eating utensils were created and first used by our Paleolithic ancestors over 500,000 years ago, while others were introduced only short 1000 years ago during European Middle Ages.
