It's time for the apple watch case. We ve got another great episode with nothing but apple watch tips, including new watch O S eleven tips, always something new to learn this and much, much more. Well, maybe maybe was before that, maybe before. I would .

think IT was probably before. You can tell you what. Didn't watch a lot of self.

Thank you. I don't think that's possible. okay. Um we are just a little note here. We're prerecorded this episodes since i'm going to be unavailable and we still wanted to give everyone to show. So there will be any current news here this week.

So if something big happened in at home the next last week or whatever, you're not going to hear about IT right now running way. I thought what we would do is another fun tips episode. I am done in a little bit, a little while, especially since we now have the new watchers eleven.

And i've absolutely love doing these shows because, as I say, I always learn something new, right? There's always something we all kind of do right because because we don't get together and decide what tips we're gonna. In fact, sometimes we steal each other others tips because we never compared notes at first. So hopefully I have five different tips then. But vince .

in has there.

but you have curus.

right? So will find out that it's rare.

but IT has happened. But hopefully we will get fifteen completely different tips, whether they're watch O S eleven related or hardware related or just a new tip of any kind. So we'll do this kind of round table will go one after another. And I guess let's see when you want to kick IT off.

You're right um let's see right that so to with the lovest apple watch um O S you have the the smart stack which which is amazing by the wage, which is allows me to kind of use to watch faces that don't have them many complications and you can just kind of swipe up and see all the stuff. But you can tune those you can tune which ones show up in your um your your smart stack first of all, of IT, if it's coming from some sort of non apple watch a APP that you shouldn't stall IT using your phone and then you can set on these settings whether or not IT meters notifications from your phones or it's different for your watch um and then you can talk on um live activities um so that I can present that that smart stack during the right time and then you can add IT to auto launch smart stack um in the on the apple watch h settings and so that IT then will be a part of your .

stack mentioned talk a little bit about how how amazing good IT is now yes, that there really is no fiddling and you have to do with that. It's like it's pretty intelligent. They put the smart and back in the smart stacks what they did when they got rid of what .

they used to be called .

the that no, no IT was this, gosh, what was the name of IT that the theory face know .

what is cola was a great .

watch face? Yes, yes, it's spent ten years the that kind of yeah, but this is so much Better than any of those that they had before. Um I constantly just gLance my washing like, oh, it's already there.

How nice yeah yeah. I can control that from my here. So yeah, great.

I love that. Absolutely love that. Alright, I go next. This one is for ultra watch owners, which there's more of now because we now have the original ultra, the ultra two and the ultra two black.

The so we have um which is is kind of the batman version of IT. Um so there's a lot more those out there in particular. What i'm talking about is the action button that is on the ultra, which is an amazingly simple but powerful feature.

And in fact, I was kind of surprised that IT wasn't brought to the series ten when the series ten was announced that they didn't give you that action. But I was kind of disappointed about that. But um anyway, setting setting IT up has always required you to use the a watch APP on the phone to program its function. What that actually does. Well, now in watch eleven, you can change what the action button does right on the watch, which is so much more handy.

So on the watch itself, um you can choose between, you know what IT actually does if you do a long press on the action button, you get a screen that lets you choose the different actions you can switch from, work out to stop, watch, flashlight, whatever it's super quick to do versus taking out your phone and opening up the and then finding that section and choosing when to recognize that they finally allowed you to do IT on the watch itself, I love IT. So that way you have the option of changing IT more often if you want to. Alright, Chris, what he had?

Well, i'm down to four tips now.

One which one of us stole .

Okay, okay.

My first tip is waiting your workout when you're complete. You can do that right on your watch now. So when you end the workout now, you swipe right and um stop the workout.

Then you can use the digital crowd to score to the workout summary. I think we ve all done that to see all the elements of the workout. There is now something called an ad effort button.

So just hit the ad effort button, then you use a digital crown to a rate your workout. You can rate IT, easy, moderate, hard or all out. And there's various levels in each of those four separate categories. So it's a nice little way to kind of add another element to workout right on your watch.

That's so yeah.

if I never was sure how to do that when at first I first I did I rent the beta for a while. So that was quite a while. Back when I was doing IT, I wasn't sure what I was asking for. IT was asking me to .

write my own workout. You get your own workout. So I I 嗯 and and it's a self aligned。 It's kind of like bargrave h right? yeah. Easy is low and a lot of time. But if you're rating your own work out.

you not rating anything else. But I would rate IT for you, right? And this if you don't IT doesn't a do IT on its own.

I don't believe IT doesn't every time i've done IT the add effort but is still they are available never IT doesn't is okay.

But because I said ad effort, I thought I was doing IT itself but you could at or change IT, but I never know how to rate my workout. I don't know how good IT actually was, right? It's like IT maybe a terrible workout, but maybe because I wasn't trying hard. So so what do you put there.

right? I've like three workouts. I ve been easy, moderate and then I go hard and then I i'll switch things up a bit and try to get my heart rate way up, you know?

So i've been kind of consistent my workouts. I don't know. I don't know if I have one called all out, because I don't think all, I think IT be about .

two minutes. All right.

If if fat to be really short. But yeah, no good tip though. Yes, very nice. Alright, vinci.

get all right. So this one is not necessarily apple watch, but he does have to do with buttons. okay?

This is on your iphone and other settings and accessibility. There is an option for touch under physical and motor. And in there you can activate backup p. This is one of my favorite features, so you can tap on the back, your phone, a double tap or triple tap, and then assign that to specific functions, like turning on your flashlight, tivat the camera, switching apps are things like that, or even activating you, you know who and i've got mindset to you, the flash life for double tap, and then like for trouble tap.

I have five my, which is to locate what my wife is, but everything, how I put my phone down, IT will somehow tripped tap and load up the location of my life. So use IT with a little bit caution, you know because I will activate when you you know when he feels that you just kind of just um putting your phone down and IT does that. But it's been very convenient. You can for like the flashlight, you can double to have to turn on and double to have to turn off, and pretty eat as I have bring extra kind of an visible button.

I have mindset to control. Ser, are you OK double tap pops up. So every now and then, like you said, put, put my phone down and control center pops up.

because I have attended seed like tap my finger's to music.

And I was getting all kinds of things. So.

well, they should make IT turn the volume up.

Yeah, that should then try to guess what's on. Little, little music recognition. Things should kick in, right ah yeah the'd be nice.

So the so call so cool. All been shaping .

and brighter. It's pretty, pretty fun. Now they made IT fun. Ah now waiting for colors.

Why does cope?

Yeah it's speak of buttons and controlling things out about the apple TV remote on your watch um is now a little bit Better. So previous versions of watches allowed the h european watch to be uses remote control for your upper TV but kind of limited in functionality with watch was eleven IT can now can almost completely replace that remote that that you get with apples apple TV before watch was eleven.

The remote APP could only be used to play and pause videos or navigate the o tvs using swipe gestures to move through menus and tap screens make selections IT was useful if you couldn't reach the the apple TV remote, but I couldn't replace its entirely right. So they've updated the apple watch um the user guide on this website, which includes this functionality which was introduced to moto a eleven turning the smart watch digital crown now adjust the volume while pressing and holding the crown will activate theory through the apple TV a button with three dots can be tapped to mute and on mute audio activate captions and power the apple TV on enough. So they pretty much took everything you can do that remote control point on the watch now, which is pretty cool. So yeah so if you if you can't reach your your apple remote and to be honest with you, I I hardly ever used the watch to control the TV just for that reason. But now I think i'm going to start using IT more because that does everything now now that's pretty ool, pretty cool, right, Chris, what he got .

sure my next one is using the translate APP on the watch. And i'll tell you, IT works great and is extremely easy. I just let lift your wrist, say, hey, so and so translate to and then just say your language and then the phrase so you can say like hey so and so translate to italian.

Where's the near supermarket? Where is near store? And man, I just cracks IT out is beautiful. So um if you if you use IT on your phone, you can now use IT on your watch and it's extremely uh, productive. So translate APP on your watch is a highly recommended tip.

Is IT IT speaks IT?

Yes.

that speaks IT, but does IT show to you in text as well? yes. Okay, perfect. Yeah that's fantastic that you can actually show .

to something and they can read IT.

right? Yeah, can you guess I didn't here IT whatever. But cool. Love that this is really got.

yes. So this one is kind of just a by product of when I got the level lock. And you know you got to go through a couple of hoops and sometimes that works with with your your APP or IT works with the dongle.

If you have the the latest phone, you can this version that I have a love luck has can do home keys as well. So we're second N F, C. badge. But the one thing that the tip is to make sure let you go in to your watch settings under the wallet and you can turn out express mode. This is this.

This allows you do not have to open the APP or authority every time or know, yeah, I think for the watch you have to you have to do something to to authority without, but like versus your phone, which has to do face I D when you to have IT. But turning that on a press mode, let you just tap the lock, unlock IT and IT works for subway passes and bus and service. That as well. But as best one as one of those things is difficult. Fine, it's hidden under wallet and it's not really anywhere else is to .

work 这样 cool。 Yeah, that's something that i've been using for a while now. And the other thing I noticed, when you use your watch to unlock that sometimes you almost have to touch the lock, you got to get IT right up there sometimes, I guess, because doesn't do false you right. But love in IT, I mean, it's it's pretty cool. The other day, one of the the back around just wasn't working at all, which we were to see and what to touch the lock.

the lock and nothing. But that .

battery, he was dead. I didn't warn me. I didn't tell me.

I didn't get a message. I did do anything. The battery. And so I had to replace the battery find. And by the way, when you place the battery, you after we set up anything that .

just keeps working .

yeah my smart locks. I know that the batteries are dead if I don't get the notification when engaged. So that's that's that's an easy indicators.

Well, yeah.

yeah, now i've got the back to one before the front. Much longer the front door goes here. Now we .

were sitting for a lot, man. Now I look, it's right. Well.

and that's why one of the first things I did when we got him when my name is on about extra batteries, these are very particular .

size .

yeah c two or something really weird size battery that you have on hand just in case but all right, moving on. Um my next tip here is changing the order of the watch face watch faces on your watch. So i'm not sure if this is new to watch for us eleven.

If it's been there for a while, maybe I just now consider whatever. But if you want to change the order of your watch faces on the watch itself instead of opening the apple watch APP on the phone and rearranging them there, you can simply press and hold the watch face, and IT will go into the Normal edit mode. If you then touch and hold the face again, you have the option of moving IT to a new position in the order.

And IT states what position IT is currently in with some Green type at the top. And i'll say like number eight of nine or number four or five. So very handy and quickly wait to quickly change those watch face positions on the watch itself because every now and then I just, I get tipped of a couple of faces.

And why? Why is IT? No, I don't want to get rid of this one to move IT or whatever, and set a dig in my phone out.

I realized I can just do IT right there by holding down for the second time the face and the fact that I came up with numbers kind of surprise me like, well, telling me what position is in. That's pretty cool. I wanted to make IT number one, and i'm having to slide ed IT all the way across.

I know when I get there, right? I, I, I don't overshoot IT or stop too soon, and I know when he gets to the first position. But all right, Chris, would you got.

That's a great tip time I learned .

something you do. You learn new.

Yes, my next one is a using apple pay on your watch to pay, watch to watch. I know I think this is relatively new, so but it's it's prety simple. It's like just doing kind on your phone, but you doing on your watch. So you open the wallet APP on your watch um tap the apple cash card and then um or select apple cash card because you probably have multiple credit cards and everything in there. A tap IT enter the amount, which is pretty simple, pretty straight forward. And when you send IT, you know you'll do the double click of the side button to confirm IT and then just hold your watch near the recipients phone or watch and then they can accept or decline IT so you can use your um watch to do apple pay instead of your phone yeah you .

can also do your phone to your watch, your own phone to your watch. You share your contact with yourself yes yes.

See ris, there's going to send you some money, but we have to have to be close to the watch. I'm sorry.

that's right now. I don't know. I don't know how close you need to be.

Actually, I guess yeah, you wouldn't know exactly. Oh, wait, no, sorry. There's no funds in there. Oh, well, so oh, sorry, empty.

You get a shock if you have no money.

I went the tactic engine shocks that what give .

you some kind of stream?

That's cool. I can't wait to try that out. Actually try that, you right? This is what you got.

Yeah, this is a simple one. I mean, sometimes you just want to make sure that you can open or get back to the previous APP that you had just use on your apple watch. It's simple, just double click on your a digital crown and IT opens up the all the apps that have been opened up recently and you couldn't score and get to them.

Yeah, that's IT seems to okay because that was my previous one. I just tried IT to jump back to the apple walli because I had that .

open looking at IT that's right.

And IT didn't give me a chance to score through the apps and jumped the right to the.

oh, there we go. Okay, he was a fast enough.

Yeah, they're there. Yes.

it's the but goody .

now is IT just my imagination. And maybe it's this is the ultra to original that i'm wearing right now. But when you see that whole list of cards of your previous apps that were open and your scrolling through IT with a digital crown, yes, is IT smoother than .

I used to be?

Yes.

it's like liquid.

I mean, this is very nice.

There's no hesitation .

lag at this kind of zing .

today just on your phone not you can swipe across the the the card and IT close IT if you want .

red x to close because I close the upper force .

is like force quit the upper, just close the APP ah just .

quit IT right .

yeah yeah so .

and that by the way, that's a tip ever. Are wondering how do I delete this? Just choice wiping most of the time IT works.

They have been pretty consistent with that. So very nice swipe left. cool. Yeah that's a little bit booty. And I think it's it's improved in her work.

So um alright my next .

one here is double tap um but there's something in particular about IT now with watch a eleven I love double tap thing is a great feature um it's almost the feels futuristic to me use my fingers to to make my watch to do something it's so cool to doubled to happen IT IT does things but what you might not know that now new with watching eleven as you can now double tap to score through any APP not just the smart stack.

You know if you turn on the smart stack and you double what actually your watch is, even on the watch face, and you have double tap, set up your double tap, you're you'll jump to the smart stack, you double tap again. And I will scroll through the entire stack. Well, that now works in other apps.

So if you open up the weather APP you double tap to scroll l through the week, you can see all the the weather for the week. You open your activity APP you can double tap to grow through your rings. If you open the work out APP you can double tap to scrawl through the workouts.

So it's it's a pretty cool new feature that makes double tap even more useful than I did before. And that's something I think wasn't really talked about her. I just love the fact that they're not just letting IT set they're doing. They're making IT Better.

Yeah I because I time yes.

So now works another thing and those are just off the top of my head. What I know work some sure there's other apps that, that works with as well. Right, Chris.

right? This is my last one. Sorry, i'm going going only this is, this is creating a watch face from a picture. It's extremely simplified. I know when we first got to watch, I was like a four, five step process, but now all you do is going to your photos and select the photo you want to make the watch face, the share button on the bottom left select that, and about halfway down, you say, create a watch face. And IT gives you the option to create a watch face using the photo or a collide scope watch face.

I'm not really sure why the'd though the collide a scope watch face and I mean you know I guess people like that but just left to watch face. And then that gives you um various you can select the font, you can select the numerous, you can select the style um and then there's usually two complications you can throw on there but IT but within within thirty seconds you you can take a picture to a watch face with multiple complications and you can customize the look and feel. So it's kind of me .

that's cool yeah that that's something I haven't really played with a whole of lot, which I need to do because I i've got a lot big library photos and things, but I should create more of those yeah .

yeah i've i've got a number of them for various places on at or things i'm doing or an event. cool.

Love IT. All right. Vincent, is your last one? Yes.

my last one. But this one took me a little actual experiment. So I read somewhere that you can extend the battery life of your apple watch series ten up to almost thirty six hours. And there's one simple toko low .

power mode.

No not promote. You have everything else right? Yes so so yes so the article said all you have to do is charging off um always on yeah so once yeah I I gave them a try to turn off to always on because they went to the whole day I try about they don't want people seeing other stuff.

But anyway, if you go into settings and display a brighter and you talk off always on to off, your screen will go dark if you're not looking at IT. And as you race or turn your race to look at IT, it'll turn on to like Normal. But yeah, I left IT off the charger for almost a couple of days.

And yeah, IT was probably that they had twenty percent left after about thirty six hours. So I could have gone the four, forty eight hours, I think. But I I want to bed thing on the charge.

I still have that off, not always on, which is kind of an interesting thing. I haven't lost any of that experience. So it's of one way of extending the battery life just in.

It's incredible how quickly we forget and quickly get used to a feature. I don't even know when that was introduced was like watch show us with with the series three or something was always on or four. But now we we went through how many generations of the watch who was always dark, right? And that was the way I was.

And then when they introduced ed, the whole thing of being able to see IT all the time IT just always left IT on. Never, never thought about turn in and off, right? Pretty cool. Yeah like that. So yeah.

you're running low on Better just on that off.

yes. Another quick little tip within a tip here is not my final one. How about extending battery life? And maybe it's just me, but improbably, IT is just me. But the the .

optimized in your battery.

if you have that turned on and I didn't realize, I guess, when I got the new watch, I had to turned off, got a new watch and forgot that it's a togo that you can turn on or off. I kept doing that and wouldn't IT every night, but every time charging to eighty percent. No, I need that tomorrow.

I need one hundred percent. Tomorrow can be a big day at one all of IT. And I had to tap on the, the, the battery level and tell IT to do the full charge to get to to realize the other as you turn off another other battery.

But that warns you, does IT warn you he should not turn that off. But I do. And I know it's probably not giving me as long a battery life.

But then again, i've got two watches here, so i'm figure out and i'm using less anyway, that I Normally wood with a watch, so I cannot use either one by anyway, if that bothers you, the eighty percent charging only to that, you can turn that off. All right. My final one here is has to do notifications and this is new for watches eleven.

And it's a very small thing, but something i'm surprised wasn't there from the beginning with the watch to access notifications and watch us ten and previous, you know how to do that, right? You swipe down from the top of watch face and you see all your notifications. Well, now with watch us eleven, you can do that.

You can still swipe down the same that way, or you can simply turn your digital crown downwards and revealed all your notifications. And IT seems pretty obvious, doesn't IT, but IT took watch us eleven to get that feature, really? yes. So to add to my previous tip about once you're in notifications to turn that crown, you can double tap them and scroll through them as well, which is nice. So yeah, just IT seems like they should have been there are all long .

but IT wasn't I thought IT was but ah because uia I just wiped down but now yeah it's .

another another method to get to throwing but yeah it's amazing, right? It's just like why wouldn't use a dial ground from that for the beginning? But anyway, we'd always had a crown right since very much.

Yeah, yeah. All right. Well, I was fun. We would learn, learn some new stuff, right? That we all got something new out of that.
