Welcome to The Politocrat. I'm Omar Moore. It is Friday, February the 7th, 2025. On this edition of The Politocrat, the coup is on. The coup is on. But all is not lost, and we must continue to fight. I'll be talking about that, plus playing you some audio of one of the events that

that proves that this is a coup underway in the United States. All of that coming up next. Is that too much to ask? Are we asking too much? Is it beyond our reach? Because if it is, then we are nothing but sheep being herded to the final slaughterhouse. I choose to rise, not fall.

I choose to live, not die!

Hint, hint, that means you'd better get your loved one, your significant other, your spouse, your partner, some flowers or some gift or a surprise or whatever it might be. You've got a week to think about this, so make sure you prepare well. Dear listeners, great to have you here on this Friday or whenever you happen to be listening to this particular episode of the Political Red Daily Podcast. My name is Omar Moore and your name is appreciated, valued, respected,

Listener, thank you so much indeed for that. And I begin this episode with the sounds of Al Pacino playing the mayor of New York in the 1996 film City Hall, directed by Harold Becker, who also directed the film Sea of Love from a few years before, also starring Al Pacino. And I play that clip

A, because I've played it before and I played it literally, I think, the day or two after the election when I did an episode of this podcast and I sounded like I was absolutely down in the dumps because I was. Because we knew then, you and I knew then, I knew then, you knew then, we knew then what would happen now.

And we knew that this was happening. And we knew it not just on November the 6th, 7th or 8th of 2024, the days after the election of November 5th of last year, but we knew this a year out. We knew this two years out. We knew this five years ago. We knew this on January 6th, 2021. That was just over four years ago. We knew this for a long time. That this day, this dictator's day,

And I'm not lionizing this piece of orange garbage by any stretch. We knew this day was coming and it's time for us to fight back. Now, that means getting in the streets and demonstrating and marching. I'm not advocating for any violence at all. I am advocating for non-violent civil disobedience.

All we have to do is go back to, and we're really in those times right now, if not before those times, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the human rights movement, the black liberation movement of the 1950s and 60s, where all we did was demonstrate peacefully, protest peacefully. And we are the ones who got beaten, got kicked, got shot at, got killed,

to get ourselves to a society that is much more free than it was in 1965, but now is heading back to 1965, make it 1955, oh, excuse me, make it 1925. Because, dear listener, that's where we are now. It is 1925 all over again in America. And within two and a half weeks, Donald Trump and Elon Musk, an unelected piece of garbage,

have turned the clock back in America and on America to the year 1925. What are we going to do about all this, dear listener? You might think that you're powerless, but you're not powerless. You have your voice. You have the First Amendment. You have the Constitution of the United States. You have federal judges whom today continued to strike down the

maniacal, tyrannical, and dictatorial edicts of one Donald J. Conman criminal Trump. A federal judge today froze the shenanigans of presidential, or I should say dictatorial, order calling for federal employees to resign. Now I want to start with this, dear listener, before I get to really the main portion of this episode.

I want you to post the message that you will find on the social media platforms that I am on. Whether you go to bluesky.social, which is actually bluesky, it's actually popcorn, R-E-E-L dot bsky dot social.

Whether you choose to go to sez.us forward slash popcorn R-E-E-L. Whether you choose to go to spoutable.com forward slash popcorn R-E-E-L. Whether you choose to go to Fanbase, the one and only Fanbase. Fanbase.app forward slash popcorn R-E-E-L. You will find a graphic with information on it, courtesy of Pastor Ben. Thank you, Ben, for supplying that graphic.

And the graphic tells all federal workers to stay in post. Do not resign your position. A, the reason why is because what Donald Trump is doing is illegal. Hello. Once a criminal, always a criminal. What did you think he would do after being basically absolved of the felonies that he was convicted for just under a year ago?

What do you think he was going to do? He didn't want to leave office the first time he was there. What makes you think he's going to want to leave now? Because believe me, if you think that he's not looking for a third term here, you're out of your mind. You're out of your mind. He is going to bypass federal judges. That's what's next. He's already bypassed the American people.

And I think it's high time that we start to open our mouths about this. And really, I think at some point, we're going to have to have sustained demonstrations in the streets all across this country. You can't just have one 50-51 protest, as was the case earlier this week. That needs to be done on a weekly or daily basis. It really needs to be done on a weekly or daily basis. That's where we are now.

Yes, a federal judge today did indeed, and I am not fooling you, dear listener. Why would I give you inaccurate information? I would not do that to you. A federal judge today, and again, very important to emphasize this, blocked this criminal's illegal directive to force USAID workers, and these are federal workers, to resign their positions. Now, that comes from a number of sources, including the Washington Post, including the Associated Press, including the New York Times.

including, including, including. But I do want to get back to what I was saying. If you know any federal workers, or even if you do not, what I would like you to do is to go to one of the social media platforms that I'm on. I've just given you the addresses of pretty much all of the ones I'm on. And you will see a graphic from Pastor Ben, again, thank you, Pastor Ben, for this, that says, federal workers do not resign.

And there are five points on that graphic. One, do not resign. America needs you. Two, resist from within. Uphold the integrity of your duty and resist MAGA incompetence. Three, document everything. Keep detailed records to protect yourself and expose MAGA failures. Four,

Demand excellence. Refuse to accept MAGA mediocrity. Hold leadership accountable. And five, MAGA will fail. Don't surrender to the MAGA buyout and they won't be able to destroy democracy. I think all five of those points are very well taken. I 100% agree with everything there, as articulated by Pastor Ben, who you can find him on various online platforms.

As well, Benjamin P. Dixon, I think, is the handle for Pastor Ben, who has done some good work. He has got his own show. He's been on Roland Martin's show. In fact, he was on Roland Martin's show today. You can visit Roland Martin. His show is located on the Black Star Network app, which you can download. We'd like for you to do that.

And also on YouTube.com forward slash Roland S. Martin. But the whole point of me talking about, and that's Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. Eastern to 8 p.m. Eastern, Roland Martin Unfiltered. And subscribe to his YouTube channel as well while you're at it. But the whole point, dear listener, of me talking about this thing about the federal workers is I want you to repost...

The graphic that you see on my page or on any of the pages that you might come across on your social media travels. But I do want you to repost it or just, you know, use the graphic and repost it to and paste it or whatever you want to do and get the word out.

Federal workers need to know that what Donald Trump is doing when he says, or when Elon Musk, who's a piece of garbage as well, is saying, oh, you know, just resign now. You'll get paid for six months. That is completely a bogus lie, B and C. Just, I'm telling you, it's just a fat lie. Sorry for invoking size, but it's a lie. It's illegal. And

Put it this way, it's a big con. If you decide to quit your job, especially here in the United States, you will not be the recipient of unemployment benefits in pretty much every state. And that actually holds true for the District of Columbia. Don't quit your day job if you are a federal worker. You need to hold on in there

And you need to force them to fire you. Let them fire you. Why? Because if they fire you, you are entitled to unemployment benefits. You are entitled to any outstanding benefits contingent with your employment contract. You may well be entitled to severance pay. I don't know what your contracts are like if you are a federal worker. But I do know this.

If you voluntarily quit your federal job, gone are your unemployment insurance benefits. Gone are those benefits. And furthermore, you weaken your own position by quitting. And they may well force you. They may well intimidate you. They may well strong arm you. But hold firm. It may not be easy, but hold firm.

And they'll use the propaganda and say, oh, so-and-so thousands of workers have already walked away. That's to discourage you from holding on to your position. These people are born liars. Again, that point, point number three from Pastor Ben in the graphic that I've just been reading out to you a few moments ago, says document everything. I want you to do that, dear listener, if you yourself are a federal worker.

Or if you know someone who is a federal worker, or even if you don't have any connection to any federal worker, please post on your social media platform this graphic that you will find on my pages, on my particular social media channels that I'm on. But I'm sure you may well find it somewhere else. But I want you to repost that.

I don't, at the top of my head, know any federal workers off the top of my head, but maybe you do. Maybe you know someone who is. Maybe you know someone who knows someone who is. So I want you to hold the fort, dear listener. Tell your friends who happen to be federal workers, or even if they're not, just tell everyone who follows you on social media. If you are a federal worker, do not resign. Stay in post.

This buyout nonsense and the reports in the media, the media is just awful. They've totally capitulated to this orange fungus. And they had started doing that 10 years ago. So it's not a surprise why they're hardly reporting anything to do with what I'm going to be playing for you in the next segment. But the corporate news media is as predictable as can be. And you knew they would be garbage.

At this moment, this is how a dictator endures when he or she, and in this case it's a he, and has been a he for the vast majority of human history, when the newspapers and the press just completely capitulate to his every whim. They were doing that last year while Biden was the president, for God's sakes.

And they were extra hard on President Biden, remember? Remember what happened? In fact, tomorrow is the one year mark of that. I'm going to be playing that on this podcast because I want you to see what a difference a freaking year makes. And I want you to go back to memory lane from a year ago tomorrow, February 8th, 2024, when you had that vicious group of sycophants called the White House Press Corps

battering and battering and battering President Biden like a bunch of freaking piranhas. So I do want you to be aware of this and be cognizant of what the media is doing because the corporate news media's role in all this is very critical. CNN this evening had some pissant article talking about, ooh, ooh, Trump is now trying to take over the Kennedy Center. Oh, he's going to do this and do that. And what he's doing is truly remarkable.

Oh, truly remarkable is it, CNN? What a bunch of trash bags. Really. And then they go on to say in the first paragraph of that story that I'm not even going to reference to beyond what I'm reading you now. I have posted the clip or the excerpt on the social media channels that I've just mentioned. Then that paragraph goes on to say...

in his continuing, I'm paraphrasing, in his continuing quest, and then this next part is not a paraphrase, to remake federal government. He's not remaking anything. He's destroying it. He's not remaking anything. He's dismantling and destroying everything, CNN. You're a bunch of plonkers, yeah. You're a bunch of plonkers. But that's why I don't watch CNN anymore. I've stopped watching them now for a good few months.

And I have not lost a wink of sleep as a result. Hold the line, federal workers. Hold the line. America needs you. America will be much poorer without you. Many millions of people will not have their benefits or their tax refunds or you name it. So hold the line, federal workers. Hold the line. Do not resign.

Now, dear listener, before I get to the main part of this episode, I've got to tell you that the federal judge this evening has put Elon Musk in his place for the time being. Now, the Associated Press reports the following.

The Associated Press says that federal judge blocks Elon Musk's doge from accessing sensitive U.S. Treasury Department material. This is by Anthony Izaguirre.

And that is February 7th, 2025. A federal judge early Saturday, and this is February 7th Pacific time, but a federal judge early Saturday, he writes, blocked Elon Musk's department. I'm not even going to read that. It's not a department in the government. It's something that was completely made up.

From accessing Treasury Department records that contain sensitive personal data, such as Social Security and bank account numbers for millions of Americans, this is U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmeyer, who issued the preliminary injunction of the 19 Democratic attorneys general.

sued Donald Trump. Now, this case was filed in federal court in New York City, and the case alleged that the Trump administration allowed Mustine access to Treasury Department's central payment system in violation of federal law. And so, as I've told you before, this system is a really serious system. This is $6 trillion worth of money, between $3 and $6 trillion of money, of payments,

They get paid out in tax refunds, Social Security benefits, veterans benefits, Head Start, you name it. WIC, you know, food stamps, Medicaid, all of that stuff, you know, that all comes from the Treasury Department. And they do the payouts from the federal level. And of course, you know, not to mention all the personal data, your financial data, your bank records, your bank account number.

you know you know every one of us of us in this country we live here have a bank account or many of us do most of us do a lot of us do and that bank account would have been tied up in the treasury department if you are someone who's filed out taxes and filed a tax return with the federal government if you file the federal tax return you can better believe it your

social security number is going to be there and that means your direct deposit is going to be there potentially as well if you get a refund or even if you don't your social security number is a key to everything once these people have that they have everything about you including your bank account numbers they don't even need to have the bank account number by itself they can get that through your social security number if it's linked they definitely can do that

And the Treasury Department, that stuff is almost a guarantee. And so when you think about this, it's trillions of dollars or so. Late tonight or early Saturday morning, if you're on the East Coast, late tonight, if you're on the West, a federal judge, a district judge, Paul A. Engelmeyer, issued a preliminary injunction. This is pursuant to the 19 Democratic attorneys general who sued Donald Trump. The question now is,

Is Elon Musk going to comply with this order? Is he going to continue to break the law? And is Donald Trump going to continue to break the law? I think at least one of them will continue to break the law. The one who was twice impeached and, you know, has been twice elected to this office. I think that guy with nothing to lose. He's got no third term to run, although don't bet against it, as I was intimating perhaps earlier.

He's got nothing to lose. I think Elon Musk actually has more to lose than that piece of orange garbage does. But we'll see what happens from here. That is something I wanted to mention before I now, dear listener, turn to the main portion of this episode, which is what happened earlier on Friday, what happened earlier today, where you had dozens and dozens of members of Congress holding a rally and then walking over to the Capitol

Department of Education building in Washington, D.C., only to be met with a measure of, well, for the next half hour, I want you to listen, especially, well, specifically the next 28 minutes. I want you to listen to what happened early today. Here it is. Members of Congress, are

We're coming in. We're coming in. We're coming in. Don't lock the door. We're coming in. Who are you? You're not coming in. Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Who are you, sir? Do you have business here? I have sent the secretary, I have sent the assistant secretary a letter alerting her that we will be here today.

And we've asked her for a meeting. Yeah, I don't know that that's been accepted. So until that's... What do you want me to do for the meeting?

And what do you do here? I have a security responsibility. Get out of the way. We pay you. We pay you. We pay you. We are members of Congress. You are members of Congress. We haven't heard that from your secretary. We haven't heard that from your spokesman. You are not the spokesman for the department. You are a security guard. Can you identify?

We are not a threat to security. We're members of Congress and we want to ask a question. We walk into the White House without having to go through magnetometers. Can we get someone from the White House? This is an outrage. I'd like to speak with someone who works here. So what are you going to do? You're going to beat us up if we go in? I mean, you're going to...

What?

By what authority can you deny members of Congress their oversight role? You don't have a business reason to be here meeting me. You do not have authority, sir. You do not have authority. There is no authority for you to deny members of Congress their oversight responsibility. You have an appointment and you're on a guest list. We will let you in. It's not a guest list.

Is what you're saying... Or you have to have an escort. Let me ask you a question. Escort? Can I ask my question? Are you telling me today that you have to be on a guest list in order to come to the Department of Education? Either we are informed in advance if somebody's coming or... Oh, they knew it was on the list. 94 members of Congress... Sir, 94 members of Congress signed a letter...

asking the acting secretary for a meeting and to answer a simple question. And she is apparently... I'm not aware of the meeting. So you have to be on a guest list to enter the Department of Education. Members of Congress, we don't have to be on a guest list. We want to list in advance to have access or if you're coming, then you have to...

Let us know who your escort is. I don't know who you are. No, it was you last year. Did something change between last year? That's always good to know. No, it hasn't. I've walked into this building multiple times. Many times. I walked in. We were at least allowed to walk into that lobby. Not stopped outside. It's no difference. I mean, you'd be stopped at the visitor's desk. We're trying to stop the fire. I'm doing that in advance. No, no, no. Why? Why?

We're allowed to go to the visit. We've got 100 people out here. We're trying to save your job. You won't have a job if we don't help you. You won't have any place to send your kids.

We're here speaking for a ton of kids from coast to coast that deserve a quality public education. This department should stay open. We want to share that message. We're not so sure. That's what we want to talk to her about. Last year, we'd be able to walk in and go to that desk.

I mean, the response I got right here, that doesn't sound like, um, sir, it's not dangerous. I'm going to stop you right there. No, no, no. I'm going to stop you right there and put it on the record. You did not get a dangerous response here. You tell me to get out of the way? You did not get a dangerous response here, so I'm not going to let you put that narrative out there. I'm not going to let you put that narrative out there.

I'm not afraid of him. He can lie all he wants. We are members of Congress, as she said. What I asked you is do we need to be on a guest list to be in? No one, but there was no danger or threat to you. So let's just make sure that we are not. We are allowed to go to that desk right there. There was no danger to you.

We are allowed to go to that desk right there. Go get somebody to escort us in. Go get somebody to escort us in. You know this building. Yeah, I think Secretary Denise Carter. Yeah, that's who we came to see. Or the chief of staff. So what? I said there's not an acceptance meeting. Why are you not letting us in?

Why can't we go in and ask for one? That's not a thing. I've never seen that. Why can't we go in and ask for one? Can you send somebody from the Department of Education? Not just a security guard? I can explain why you're not coming. Well, are you prepared to stay here for 24 hours with us?

Are you prepared to stand here all night if we decide to stay? I'm prepared to stay. All right, well, you just stay right there. You just stay and stand. Why are you letting us go to that desk like we were able to do last year? He's not a U.S. employee. This is a public institution. Who do you work for? Are you not aware of what your responsibilities are? We try to save your job.

He's not a federal employee. Just like I'm telling you. Can I see it? Show us your badge again. Let's see. How do we know who you are? I don't know. I'm a federal employee. We're on a good and bad business desk, like we have been allowed to do in past years.

We're members of Congress. Let us in. We've always been allowed. Were you told to deny members of Congress entrance into this building, sir?

That's a good question. Why did you call the Department of Homeland Security? This is absurd. Were you told to stand here? Yeah, were you told to deny members of Congress from entering this building? There's no business purpose in here, so that's why. Why did you call the Department of Homeland Security?

are you making this decision to stand in front of this door on your own behalf on behalf of the department of education before you told to come out here and block members of congress

So everybody's split into one. What is that? We're doing our jobs. We're trying to save your jobs. We're doing our jobs. Show them your ID. Thank you.

Were you told to stand here or did you decide to stand here and block members of Congress from entering the Department of Education? This allows us access to federal buildings, the Department of Education, and schools. So a private security contractor is blocking members of Congress. A private security contractor is making the decision to block members of Congress from a public access entrance.

I don't think he knows. You have the authority as a private security contractor to block members of Congress. That has been knighted and granted to you. You have to at least let us go to the desk. Who told you to do this? Open the door.

So do you understand who members of Congress are? And you don't care. Who are we then? We have a job to do. We have a job to do. We're not dangerous people. We're not, I don't know, security. There are no thieves and thugs out here. We're members of Congress. We're parents. We're teachers. There's our ID. Right there. We were elected to do this.

This is our job. This is our job. We're doing our job. You're securing this building against who?

Members of Congress. Who are you protecting? The people. So this is the beginning of full transparency of this administration. That's right. The administration that talked about they're going to open the doors to all of these things and show the American public what is going on. They won't even open the door to this building, to members of Congress. We are not posing any threat here. We are not dangerous people.

people we have not done anything. We're trying to request a meeting and they have a private security contractor who on his own is making decisions on behalf of the Department of Education. We are members of the law. We're just saying if they're not

They allow billionaires and his minions to come in to this building. I don't know who he is, but I know who I am. And I'm a member of Congress with oversight responsibilities trying to request a meeting, and a private security contractor is not allowing me to enter the building. They allow billionaires to go in the building, but not the people's representatives. They allow billionaires and their cronies to come in, but not the people's representatives.

There's a lack of transparency here. Members of Congress, the people who are not allowed in. This is not transparency.

Now they've called the Department of Homeland Security. We are members of Congress here to talk with the Department of Education and they're treating us... The kids deserve to have us go in and fight for them. Children in this country deserve that battle. This is a government issue. This is not Russia. Let the camera see him. Let the camera see him. This man here... We are members of Congress. Come in. They're blocking us. I want you to see this man here.

who is a federal employee, he told us. Are you a federal employee?

Yes. No, he said he's a federal employee. We pay him. We raise money to make sure that we have a Department of Education. Everybody that's hired at the Department of Education are here because we pay for them to be here. He's standing here today, locking the door.

And he can't give us a good reason why he's blocking this door. Make sure they see right here. All access entrance. Well, and I think it should be clear to parents in the United States, if you want to advocate on behalf of your children, you are not allowed to come into this building where you pay taxes. Parents who have children who are disabled,

You voted, you voted for members of Congress to advocate on behalf of your children, children with disabilities, for young women who have been victims of sexual assault in our classrooms, on our school grounds. Members of OCR are fighting for your children. We are not allowed in the building to talk to them. We are not allowed to advocate on behalf of America's children. America, we have a problem.

Everybody stand back and let the camera see them. People out on the, calling them out on us. Look behind this door. Who do you see back there? The doors will open. Do they have guns on them? Do they have guns? Yes. Are they prepared to shoot us? We want in. What's the one that says on the door? All excess interest. It says all interest. All excess interest.

I'm a member of Congress. I'm chair of the Progressive Caucus, vice-ranking member of the Education Committee. And the baseline responsibility of the Congress is to oversee our federal agencies. Each and every one of us have been in this building and through these doors.

But of course, as soon as we get word that Elon Musk and Donald Trump want to shut down the Department of Education, suddenly they don't want to let members of Congress in and ask questions. Musk and the Republicans, they say they're supposedly about saving us money, bringing transparency, seeing where the dollars really go. No, they're the ones that lock the doors and make sure that your elected representatives can't even ask questions. We can't ask questions until you know

that they're responsible for all of the student loans in this country? I hear that they want to cut those student loans and give them as tax cuts to their billionaires. And are they aware of Title I, where mothers are getting up, going to work for minimum wages, and they cannot afford the education that the billionaires have for

for their children and we tried to help them by giving money to this kind of person here and the people who work here including all of the people in this country and those Title I families who need some help both in urban areas and rural areas and

mothers who can't even afford the childcare that they need for their children while they're taking these jobs, making minimum wages. And we're helping them with Title I. And this man is blocking the door. He says he's a federal employee. He won't tell us who gave him permission to do this. All he knows is he's going to stand here and tell the members of Congress who are elected, who vote the funding for all

them in this building and for the student loans and for the Title I family, he's going to tell us that we can't come in and talk with anybody. Is that right? Does this remind you of the other people who have blocked the schoolhouse doors before? Yes. Yes. Yes. It's the flashback. Yes.

This is a civil rights violation. They're prepared to lock the schoolhouse doors of 49 million children in America who go to public schools and even more students who receive scholarships and loans and grants for higher education.

And now the police are behind this school. Our police come to the scene. And I know he was told to come out here and do this. Yes, he was. He was told to come out here and block members of Congress from entering at all access entrances to the Department of Education as we fight in defense of public education and students. Okay, back up. And this is going to go out in history. The man who blocked the doors of the Department of... Hold your face up so they can see you.

Department of Education. Get a good copy of him. Let him get recorded in history for what he's doing today. Let his children see him. Let his children know that he was standing in the way of all children being educated. Look them in the eye. Come on, hold your face up. Look at him. Let him see you. This is him. Look at him. What's your name? Tell us your name. Give me that ID again.

So what? I showed you the ID. You do what? I showed you the ID. Could you let me see the ID again? Huh? No. No? Will someone else ask him for the ID?

When you ask him for it, he won't let me see it again. You didn't see it. I haven't seen it. They didn't see it. Because there is a question as to whether or not you're a private security agency agent. That's important to us. Or an employee of the Department of Education. There's no identification on you.

Did you get that picture? Did you promise them another job when they closed down the Department of Education? Have you been promised another job in lieu of... We're not dangerous. I'm not. I got bad arthritis. I'm not going to hurt you.

He wants you to do something. I can't, Maxine. I'm not capable. All I got is my mouth, my questions, my agency as Article 1 of the Constitution. That's all I got. He's blocking his ears. That's all I got. Blocking his ears. All I got. That's all I got. I'm not a prizefighter except for children.

I'm sticking on behalf of my three children, my three grandchildren, my three great-grandchildren. And for the ones that are coming, I got three great-granddaughters. I'm guaranteed to have a legacy of more children who are going to need an education.

And I am here standing in the gap for them. I got a two-year-old great-granddaughter who can't do what I'm doing today. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, his name is Jim.

field put that in your column is that your name oh he said that's his name so put that when you show it's protected

That's what I show up and say.

We want to ask questions about why it is they want to take my environment. I'm a candidate to build a house in the form of tax-free housing contracts. Elon is about it, but not you, not your elected representative, not parents, not students. Elon could go in, some students could go in, but not the representatives. We're going to keep showing up. We're going to keep pushing back. We're going to keep asking questions.

Because this is not about right-sizing the federal government to pour out Republicans. They don't want to look at the billions of dollars that go to people like you on the bus. They don't want to talk about how to actually improve schools for our public school students. They want to strip them.

The Republicans that would keep the Department of Public Education down some fixed parts. They want to take away public school funding and put it into private vouchers so that private companies and their billionaire buddies can make money off of it. They want there to be less public school employees and teachers so they can hand those taxpayer dollars on back to the taxpayers.

I can remember when Will Codgers met with the governor of Alabama, stood in the schoolhouse door and prevented students from getting an educational opportunity. And we are revisiting that moment right now. Only there are four or five little children trying to get in.

There's not a one James Meredith that is trying to get an educational opportunity. We're talking about 50 million children in K-12 schools who are at risk of not having special education monies, not being able to have their civil rights reinforced. Uh-oh. The all-access entrance...

is locked to members of Congress, but it is not locked to the billionaires who want to suck every dime out of this department for their own grift. Shame on them. Shame. Speaking for the generations of young people who are our future workforce, who will have a dearth of opportunity because of the decisions

this administration and their unrivaled un people who have not been confirmed by the Senate people who have bought this administration a man under the United States Constitution would be ineligible to become president

for the rights to be the President of the United States. Representative Warren, you said this feels familiar, right? This feels familiar. Being locked out of a place of education. Feels like what the civil, we thought we had won in the Civil Rights Movement. And now we're revisiting it all over again. Remember Bill Connors? And now we have Mr. Hartsfield to remember.

And Ms. Moore, if Elon Musk just walked up, do you think they would unlock this door for him? Yes. If Ted Cruz just walked up, do you think they'd come unlock the door for him? Absolutely. If some rich guy that represents a bunch of lobbyists that want private school vouchers and to make money off the Department of Education, do you think they'd open up the door for him? If somebody were 19 years old and they were...

an engineer who could steal the data out of the Department of Education. They would open the door for him. So open to the billionaires, open to the people who want to profit off of the education of the children of this country, but not open to representatives of the people or parents. Article 1 of the Constitution. That's who we are. You know, they've lied on us and said that we're dangerous.

They're sending the homeland... people with guns out here instead of sending us the acting secretary. Have you tried to get an appointment with the one who says... Yes, sir? Have you tried to get an appointment with the one who says... Well, an appointment. We notified them that we were coming. You also don't need an appointment. Last year, I walked into this building multiple times with my staff and I.

But the hell?

works is they send police after members of Congress and they let January 6th rioters, they walk them out, they walk them into the Capitol, they'll walk people that stormed the Capitol on January 6th into any building, but they won't let us into the building to ask, are you trying to abolish the Department of Education? How are we going to pay for the teachers? What I want to know is very simple. How do you administer

the programming under the Department of Education once the department is gone. That's a simple question. They may have a plan and we're just asking them what is it? What happens to the special ed students if suddenly they're not going to go to the school? What happens to civil rights? What happens to Title IX? Thank you. What happens to school elections? Right. How do you administer the Higher Education Act? FAFSA. How do you do that

Because I'm sure it's possible. Tell us about all the technological innovations that you have. And this is all we're doing is asking what is going to happen. I don't trust Elon to do it all. But we'll be back. And who's going to inherit this beautiful building?

They want to sell all the government buildings. Is this going to become the next Trump Hotel? What are they going to do with the building? The proceeds and the ethics, this is a big asset. How many of the employees of the Department of Education will be moved to some other creation, some other agency to administer the mission

the imperative of the Department of Education. That's all I want to know. I have these same questions because in the Education Committee just yesterday, we heard them, they said that they would be thrilled to have a national voucher scam program where they take the dollars from the Department of Education and hand it out to private companies

Some of these private companies sometimes charge us taxpayer money and they don't even have some of the kids in their schools. Well, you know, I'm from Milwaukee, so I hail from the city of the state and had the first choice voucher program. How'd that go? Well, I was a very good friend with the late, great Colleen Williams.

who started the Choice Program and she died disappointed at how the Choice Program had been administered. Because the Choice Program had been taken over by the business community. It had become a program that was not for the least and the lost and the left out. But it was for people who wanted to line their own pockets. I remember, you know, one of the last times that I was confronted by the police

as a member of a legislative body, I was dragged off the floor by the Wisconsin Capitol Police because I didn't want to pay a voucher school whose principal was a rapist. And because I would not stop talking about the rapists, the willingness to have the Department of Public Instruction pay them, they sent the Capitol Police in to arrest me. So this is

You know, this is not an unfamiliar space for me to be in. And it should be unfamiliar, but unfortunately it resonates with this show. I could go to jail, y'all. This ain't new. Well, here's government transparency for you. We'll be back.

Dear listener, the coup continues. I mean, this is really what it is. This is a coup, 100% coup, and it must be stopped by each and every one of us. We can't just rely on the courts. The courts will do what they do, and maybe there may be some courts who don't do what they do, but the courts will have to continue to be the last stand

But really the people need to be the last stand, each and every one of us. You heard what you heard those last 28 minutes, and it was outrageous to say the least. And while we knew it was going to happen like this, while many of us knew the dangers, when the danger actually happens, it's still something that you have to look at and go, what the F? You heard members of Congress there, including Congressman Maxine Waters, Congressman Maxwell Frost, and many others.

And that idiot standing in front of the doors that had the words all access entrance on that was upholding fascism, white racism, whiteness, and autocracy and dictatorship and a takeover of government, a coup. That is what he was holding. He was preserving that and he was stepping all over the will of the people and he

That is way past a bridge too far at the expense of 50 million children. You think these people really care about children? Don't ever be fooled by that again. And where we are now only shows you that not voting has consequences. Not voting has consequences. You can follow me on numerous podcasting platforms, of course, whether it's Apple Podcasts or
