Michelle King is the co-author of the new book, "Into the Wilds: A Mothers Guide to Wilderness Therapy") and parent of a wilderness therapy student.  The book includes the stories of Michelle enrolling her son in a wilderness therapy program and comparing it with her co-author, Jenny Prince's, account of enrolling her daughter in the same program.  One parent chose to bring their teen to the program, while the other had their teen transported to the same program. One parent had their teen return home; the other teen went to a therapeutic boarding school after wilderness.  The book also includes information about how to find financial resources, how to choose a program, and suggestions for finding parent support before, during, and after their child is in a wilderness program. Michelle shares the story of writing the book, how her son reacted after emerging from a wilderness therapy program just as the pandemic shutdown occurred, and what she would recommend for parents considering wilderness therapy for their child.   To purchase the book on Amazon.- Into the Wilds: A Mothers Guide to Wilderness Therapy)
