I just was not so #fascinated with this #book but did heard of it a lot. 

I even #purchased this book few years back but read it for the first time this year. 

I must say I unnecessary #delayed it. 

There are so many of us who just give it up so easily and do not achieve their dreams. 

Not because they are not capable of, but because we do not try enough.  

The first step is the hardest to take which is to decide something to achieve with full #willingness and #determination. 

This is what the book is all about. This book is just anyone's story. All could relate to it. 

The best part is most #motivation thing is explained in the form a #simple, #engageable story.  

He starts his #journey by #selling of his sheep, then crossing the border where he meets a man who steals his money He was so #terrified and thought that he took a wrong #decision but then when he was in the market he meets a #crystal shop owner and where he asked for some work which he got.   

Stayed there, did lots of #work and #earned enough which could have let him live his life with happiness always.  Then comes a time when he meets a desert woman with whom he falls in love and had hopes to settle down with her.

The book is plotted about a young shepherd boy from #Spain named Santiago who is #happy with his life, sheep and books but he always gets the same #dream of #treasure in the #pyramids of Egypt.

After meeting the old man he leaves his #comfortable and #contended life, #Starts his #journey to #follow his #dream. The old man also gives him #magic #stone and some #advice for #lifetime. 

He crossed the Mediterranean and Sahara to reach #Egypt. During the journey he meet few people. The #journey was full of #difficulties that gave him #lessons to #learn for life and changed the way he looked at things. 

This book should be read by the person who : Is looking for #motivation. Wants to have #inspiration. You love #stories. This book comes with lot of #hidden #learnings and tell a lot about the writer's thought process. 

Here the #alchemist word is used a lot which means in the book a #magician who can turn any metal in gold.  The meaning which actually author wants us to understand is alchemist means "#life" and if we look for our own #personal #focus areas and what we want in life with #determination then we can surely get it. 

The book is #focused on the main character and how he goes in search of the #treasure but few things which I could not really go by are  At some places the book have some #spiritual #connection which may be #dependent on #personal #choice. Also, the book talks about #women waiting for the man to come, doing regular household #chores whereas man can #engage with other women around.
