Humankind is a herd species. We clump together. So within these clumps of people, self-expression becomes important to maintaining our individuality. Fashion – what we wear – has always been central to how we express who we are. But the modern era of Social Media has moved our core self-identities online. We now can pick and choose who can glimpse our self-expression through our online presence; and, as such, our physical bodies are not anywhere near our self-expression. Thus we are now free to cloth our beast form in any soft pajamas normally reserved for private hovels, so long as no one is posting anything. Now, neither performing athletics nor at leisure, a new, non-committal form of fashion covers our clumps of bodies.
