The railroad crossing leading to the Depot is closed until further notice due to ongoing work at the site, the City of Jackson announced. The closure will remain in place until weather conditions allow for asphalt to be poured. The city asks motorists to use Industrial Road, Middle Street or the route under the railroad trestle to access locations beyond the crossing. The city apologized for any inconvenience and asked for residents’ patience while the work is being performed.
