The narrator draws a boa constrictor that swallowed an elephant whole. He finds, quite disappointedly, that adults can not see the glaringly obvious and prefer to call the drawing a 'hat'. The vexed narrator then begins a journey that soon finds him stuck in a desert. There he meets a Little Prince whose troubles seemingly span the universe. A story of planet-devouring Baobab trees, kings without subjects, and roses with attachment issues begins.
In this episode, we discuss Antoine de Saint-Exupery's 'The Little Prince', and the themes of childhood, adventure, and love that span his work.
