Carlee Owens was the head fitness instructor at a gym and helping people lose weight was her bread and butter. So what happens when – after "doing everything right for your health" – your doctor sits you down and tells you that you have hypothalamic amenorrhea and you need to stop working out and start eating more?
A long history of weight loss and weight gain didn't make it easier for Carlee to overcome HA either, it made it even harder. The challenges of wondering "should I really be doing this" came up, and still come up every single day. But one thing is for sure, she has regained aspects of her life she didn't even realize that she lost until she got her period back. She still considers herself recovering (don't we all!) but has one of the most uplifting and motivating stories. A definite listen if you're feeling unsure or down about the recovery process.
