We hear all the time, "It's just a ban on ASSAULT WEAPONS," or, "It's just a MASK." It doesn't matter if it's JUST a mask, an injection, a ban on "weapons of war," bump stocks, pistol braces, vertical foregrips, or anything else. The problem we all have with these bans or mandates is not with the individual item or process, but with the REASONS for them, along with the potential effects. It's well known in psychology that the initial issue is rarely, if ever, the REAL issue. Let's peel back some layers and dig into the REAL issues, and why we are so adamant about how we think.
