Maybe you’ve heard the phrase, “Why buy the cow when you can have the milk for free?” (Ew.) Besides the obvious issue of comparing women to cows, it brings up an interesting question: are there things that a wife does (or should do) that a girlfriend does not? And should women be holding out on certain tasks until we finally get that ring? Barf! Every relationship is different and if you want to be married, that’s great! But there isn’t some magical difference between married and un-married. The way your relationship looks only needs to matter to the people inside it. Everyone else can mind their own damn business.
