For modern women (and men, and everyone!) insecurities seem to be a part of life. We pick up insecurities as children and those fears follow us around for decades to come. Unfortunately, these insecurities tend to become competitive: “you can’t feel ugly today because I’m uglier!” “That person has a way flatter ass than you!” Hey, we’re all entitled to feel bad about ourselves at some point, but why are we so caught up in feeling justified in our self-hatred? Maybe instead of policing why someone should or shouldn’t feel insecure, we could all try to love ourselves no matter what.
