I love me a worship song with some owes in IT, some good to OS the owes to me as sometimes the best york because I don't always have the words to articulate how good god has been. You still feel unshakable. How many know there are fifty days left in this year? Year two days ago.

It's crazy. And just fifty days you'll be talk .

about you twenty twenty five to be my year and know I twenty twenty four, twenty twenty thousand come in a love. okay? And we always start off our year with the word, and we started on this year with the word unshakable, saying that a shaky world needs an unshakable church.

And we connect the description to that word. And we have read this script of every single sunday of this year, so we can all stop today. You read IT, come on, he who step to toil over this twenty eight, twenty nine, this reading with cabinet voices as allowed as you can. Come on.

Do you see what we and on? And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but living with worship deeply reference before god.

For god is not in a different bystandard. He is actively cleaning house, torching all that needs a burn, and he won't quit until it's all clean. Got him.

And then our scripture for the day is gonna josh, a chapter five. Now, last week we were at home. IT was watch party sunday, and I just unusual.

I kicked off a series of watch party in the series is just simply called, look, look, look, look, look. If there's a tag on to the series, IT would be seeing what god says. Look, look.

So last week we look back and we ve got has done in our church. Next sunday, we're gona look ahead for what is the time though if you miss next same day, i'm just saying you go be Better. It'll still.

And then today, we're going to look at where we are now. And I think this is a critical series, not just for our church, but for your life, is how you know you need to be able to look back and where you've come from. You need to look at here to where you're going, and you need to be aware and cogent of where you are right now.

Look, looks. Somebody say, look, look, learn how to look. If all you see is what you see. You have yet to see all there is to be, see, open up your eyes and look just what chapter five, you already very thirteen.

And IT says, and IT came to pass when joshi was by geral, that he lifted his eyes and look and behold, a man stood opposite him with his sore drawn in his hand and Joshua a went to him and said, are you for us or for our b series? Good stuff right there.

I guess a title for this message could have been like, look apart too, but you won't go home. Talk to about that. okay. So that's not my title. I'm and tried with this conversation between Joshua, who I thought was the commander of the armies of israel, but he encountered this mystery man who says, I and the commander of the army of the lord. I want to tag a title to this ticks and just talk to you from this thought.

The commander in chief, the commander in chief, look at your neighbor the last time, maybe not the latest, but just look at, say, oh, neighbor, I hope you know who the commander in chief is. Look at your other igher. Say, all the, I hope you know who's really in charge.

You can be seated. You can be seated. There's amazing. So yeah, won't even come from northwestern highway. I came from norway. The commander in chief last week, or I should say, couple of weeks ago, social fame pasa Taylor and I went and traveled to the humid city of houston, texas, with, I think, about thirty of our staff and their spouses. And we went to houston for social dallases second annual staff retreat.

So our second annual staff retreat, now that's not a big deal to you, but that is a big deal to me. In fact, that sounds so real to say second annual staff retreat because I remember yo what we had no staff. Yes, we lost this search in twenty twenty one who nobody was on step, including myself and pass the Taylor.

We were on step the reason staff because we can afford ard to put us our staff. And this was the answer to that. We was like a nonprofit for real, and is just amazing to see what god has done in three years that we have a staff now, and we can go on a retreat with this thing.

Yeah, look what the lord has done. IT, you can clap. I'm a clap. So big deal. Once all to say, started from the bottom. Now we here, that's just big deal to me and we troubled to houston. IT was amazing time.

And I really felt on the staff treat that IT was in coming upon me to not just talk about strategy and calendars and or charts and tomlins and budgets and grass, all that is good. And I love IT. In fact, our CFO really loves IT past the dog total is here.

Shut out past, which you gave everybody a waiting right here. Not that all that has its time in his place, but but IT was my responsibility at this death tree to remind our team about the necessity to continually fight to see what we've got, to fight to see what we've got. You have to understand that when you work in ministry is like working in the kitchen.

H, O, favorite restaurant, I don't put hand dealers in the kitchen. IT is tough sometimes when you're work in the kitchen. And the fight of your alive when you work in ministry is to fight to see the beauty of ministry and not the burden of to fight to see the miracle of the ministry and not the mess that comes with the miracle.

See some little confused right there, because you're like, wait a minute. And how so ever could IT be that there there be a mess and a miracle simultaneously? How in the world could you have a miracle season, but within the miracle have a miss? And that's what you think.

And you let me know, you don't get kids because anybody that has some offspring, you know what is like to hold a miracle. But not that that miracle does not give you a pass on message that you can have a blessing in your life. And sometimes with that blessing comes the greatest burden of your live.

Sometimes with that miracle comes some sleep less night IT comes some pain IT comes with some turmoil IT comes with some things that you never thought were attached to the blessing. If that I could pass this microphone and somebody could testify and say that, honestly, the most brutal season of your life was not the season of close doors. It's the season when god open doors, because IT opened you up to a new level of attack.

IT opened you up to enemy you didn't even know that you had. IT opens you up to ridicule and persecution that you didn't know that came with the blessing. IT is a wonderful thing. We got speaks a word, and they throw your net on the other side of the boat, and you throw over the net, and all of us, sudden you've got all this fish.

But you forget that when the disciples call the fish, that they, their net started breaking and their boats started thinking, because sometimes there is a burden attach to the blessing and some where you are trying to get rid of miracle and god says, if I get IT a miracle um yes, you won't have the mess but you'll still sit they are wondering, how in the world did this come with that? So I just encouraging the team to fight to see the beauty of what we've got. What do you have to fight to see the beauty of what you have? The reason you got to fight to see that is because whatever you are looking for, how many you know, you will find IT.

You don't necessarily see what you see. You have the tendency to see the things that you are actually looking for. This is the way life is.

Have you noticed this? I want to ask you just write the onset of this message. What are you looking for? What are you looking for? Because whatever you're looking for, that's what you will find.

You will not find what you see. You will find what you are looking for. What are you looking forward? IT reminds me of a guy who was a desperate for a job, and he wanted a job so bad.

And you pray to lord said, lord, if you'll just open up the door and give me a job, I promise you lot will pray you forever. What i'm time, please just give me a job. I'm that opens up the door, gives this man a job.

And he starts working at this arbitrement. M, he's working at the arboriculture. And his job at this arrandoon is to pick up the trash at this arbor edom.

This was a beautiful place. All kinds of wonderful flowers and trash were often blow to the arbor edom. And his job was to make sure that this arbor edom stayed pristine and cleaned.

And you, when he got the job, he was going to hold to go two step. He like, thank you. So glad I have this job of, so glad that you bless me. Two months into the job before end appears, say, how's the job is like, I hated that case there. This job you should see what I have to do is ridiculous in the frames. Like what you're talking about, you are just excited about this job is like i've been to that Operator is a beautiful, must be amazing to work there is like, no, people are disgusted. They are feel that you should see the trash that I have to pick up every single day complaining about the job and how you know, there was nothing wrong with his environment.

His .

environment was beautiful. His environment was amazing. The problem was what he was looking for.

He wasn't looking for the beauty of the roses of the flowers. He was looking for the trash. And because that's what he was looking for, a change.

His perspective, even though he was in a great environment, can not tell you. That tends to be our society in our culture today. Have you noticed this? We have a culture.

There's not looking for the beauty. We are looking for the trash. We will do a blog in a commentary of the track.

We are already trying to see what's negative, what's wrong, what's jack up, every single thing you grow on. We don't want to sit and watch a video. Somebody actually be a blessing to somebody. We wanna, somebody whose weird snatched off sort of fight in the middle of the street. We will scroll for hours and watch a car race.

Because our culture has conditioned to see the trash and not see the beauty, but cannot tell you as somebody who supposed to be salt in the earth, somebody who's supposed to be light in the year, can you just fight to see the beauty? Can you fight to see the life? Can you fight to see the hope? Can you fight to see the joy? Can you fight to see what god can actually do? You see what we've got? And on shake of OK, you see how.

Thankful you have because it's not in our DNA. We're always looking who for was messed up this one. Nobody has ever left a date or a media with somebody and come back from the date or come back from the meeting.

Somebody said, oh, my godness, there are so many Green flags. You have never in your life come back from me in somebody or have an experienced, just go the Green. Right now all we are looking for is red flags. That is the lens we looked to everything r fo.

Red flags only but cannot just speak like i'm in jane, i'm not but cannot just say, can we Normalize Green light to can you Normalize actually, say, the miracle that is loading in the midst of what you're going through? Can we Normalize in the life, in the situation? What are you looking for? What are you looking for? Don't you look for away and look for the Green? And while we talking about IT, can I just say and I say you should be cautious about to get real flag.

If you are breathing, you've got a red flag. And if you don't think you've got a real flag, you, let me tell you, is a whole parade in your life right now. Humanity is broken.

All of us got some great legs. But let's Normalize, actually seeing the beauty, actually seeing the hope, actually seeing the life and seeing what god is able to do, and try to chAllenge you to look at things differently. Somebody say, look, now i'll say, which would just say, look, look, what are you looking for?

I'm in the season of life and I can just say, because i'm forty, i'm looking at me not like a noctis c way. I'm just saying i'm looking at at me. I'm not looking to be offended.

I'm not looking be triggered. And if I do get trigger, i'm like I am, I trigger, i'm look at at me. I'm look at at me and my button gets put on like, why is that button there? Why did I react that way? It's a powerful.

When you turn the length and you look at the right thing, somebody say, look, say what you just say. Look, pepper through a bible. Is this word? Look that in fact, we get to the t career.

If you wonder a bible study, just look for look, and you will see, look all through out your bible. It's like god is just trying to get our attention all through our passage description. You'll see this word look, if I could not be more precise, almost fifteen hundred times, depending on the version in your bible.

You'll see this word, behold, behold, which is just like, look, if I got, I just know that word beheld. I know you gotta say, behold, with a british accent and some shake experience and gravitates behave be how what a powerful work. In fact, the whole generally has an examination tion point.

On the end of IT is like, you know, explanation point is, is the grammatical wave of just grab you by your color and say, you pay attention. Look at this. This is a big deal.

Why in the world, world fifteen hundred times in your bible, who god need to say and sometimes do Angell c visits, behold, what would be hold, need to proceed a statement, because god knows how much our attention gets distracted from things that don't even matter. So we often have to tell us, you pay attention. Look, behold, don't you see? I think god knows the human tendency to ignore the incredible, how sometimes we can just bypass the things that are beautiful.

He knows that sometimes we can be in the middle of the maculate and be oblivious to the miracle. So he has to say, I be, look, pay a teacher. If I had time, I would just preach a message, or all the looks and all the the holes in the bible, what god was trying to get the attention of the person, to let them know.

This is not just an ordinary moment. This is a god moment. Open up your eyes and pay attention to IT.

Look, behold. Come here, Abraham. You can even get out of genesis without the world.

Look braham and look up. Do you see the stars? See if you can count those stars.

I know you did with infants. Lt, right now, but you will find out that I give you a promise. That promise will come to pass. And I don't care if you will see your citizens get ready. You can say about to have a baby, but look, I want to see the stand to make moses open up your eyes.

And look, I know you've been on the run from egypt and you're out here in the willingness and you think your life is over and you've lost hope, but look, there's a bush that's burn in but it's not being burned. Uh, i'm trying to get your attention to that bush. So I can speak to you and let you know I am that I am and you ve got everything you need to do, what I want you to do.

Look, look open up your eyes and look, look at the lis of the field. Jesus said, look at the birds of the air. If i'm taking care of the lillies in the, you know, I can take care of you.

You not going make sure your rent gets pay, you know going to make sure that the door opens for your. You're got a look throughout the bible. These moments are seemed ordinary until god's had, look, even god's arrival.

Remember, down the back does he was bed house, just the ordinary day and a bath for the person who give bad task when he saw IT, because, you know, a drill, because he would you have bad time, and how the something like what behold the lamadon that takes away the sins of the world chasers. The right of hebrews tells us before I get to our verse of the year, he says, looking on to jesus, the author and the perfect or of our fake who for the joy set before him, even jesus know where to look for the joy set before him endured the ross despising the shame, and is now see that the right hand of the father. I'm telling you there's a power in what you look and smith, and i'm learning that the people who advanced in the kingdom of god are the people who have learned what to look at. The people that step into the places that god is already prepare for them, are the people that know what to look at.

And you are able to know about anything. They may the whole service and just tell them, look, tell, tell, tell them, look, whenever I travel, whenever I travel and i'm driving, this is assuming assume that the engine is working and the tires are good. I have three, I have three lengths that I have to have.

Whatever I am drive, whatever I am travel somewhere to a destination. Three lengths is that I have to look through. One is my review mirror.

I need a review mirror. I have to have IT. Because how, you know IT matters to look behind you, you need to learn the power of hindside your history.

You don't want to keep stand back there, but there's something powerful about understanding what has a LED you to the current moment you are in. Now I need my review mirror. I need my history at that, at three kids and two dogs that need deliverance.

I am first looking and my review mirror. I need that land that is hinson. I also have my windshield.

I need that to don't believe in my cream and spray, pay my windshield black. okay? I need to see that because I winship's.

That's my insight. I need to see what's happening right now in the real top. I need to know where I am now, but I have something else i'll looked at.

And somehow I don't know about this, but you need to know about IT and is called ways and body use ways. Come on, if you handing them up, you are missing on the blessing in life. okay?

Don't use apple maps. Don't use google maps. You will need ways in your life. okay? You need what god will make, a ways where there seems to paint the waves.

I need ways, because even though I ve got my review mirror, even though I got my window, I need ways. Ways helps me. Oh, because ways is for sight.

Ways is what our program in the destination of where i'm headed to a new way. And I need to just look at ways waste talks to me IT lets me know what's common and turn right here. I need wait will be specific object on road.

And here I need to know police hidden around the corner. Thank you. Let me know what is gonna on my journey, and let me know the road to take.

That is four sight because I have a prepared place. I'm not just out here driver and around aimlessly. I'm drive because i'm headed somewhere.

IT is this beautiful collision of behind side and insight and foresight that helps me arrive to the place they got has for me and some me. I don't get all three, but you need to get all three. You just got high insight and you just got insight, but cannot tell you.

He says a vision is foresight with insight based on hindside. Vision is foresight. What's a here with inside, but is based on hand sight.

And all of these lie at this pivotal moment in the life of Joshua, for I talk about his insight and the foresight of the prepared place they gotten already prepared for him, a promise given to over him. Can we just go to the hindside? You understand Joshua's history that in fact, if you don't understand anybody, you need to know something about there.

history. I love Joshua's. His name means the lord is solvable. I love Joshua, because Joshua's life could be determined about what he, what he saw, what he looked at.

You never say look, you never, never say look, is what he saw is what he looked at. Understand that that Joshua, he was raised under the tyranny of, he was there. He was a part of that sick system of slavery.

He was there. He saw god show up and do them maculate. He saw when god showed and flex his power to fail.

He saw all the plagues. He saw the frogs come out of nowhere. He saw the NIO river turn into blood.

He saw when the sun refused to shine and IT was a dark. He saw the look as he look. He saw the miracle working power of god, your josh.

A saw the night that the death Angel came into the camp and begin to sweep through the camp that night, and the only people that were saved with the people that took a lamp and killed an innocent lamb and took the blood of the lamb and put in on the door post. And the only places that the death Angel passed over, where the houses that had the blood of the lamb on their door post, here's what I love. IT went that the house was perfect.

IT went that the house had IT altogether. But the only place that the death will pasht over with the houses they had the blood of the lamb on the door post I was somebody was like, you knew. And what your record that justifies you, and what your church tennis that justifies you, and what your bible reading program that justified you is, anybody know this? Thankful, put the blood of chase s cry.

That is the old only thing that calls this to pass over my life. IT is not my perfection, is the perfect life that chose to live a single life and lay you down for the world. Josher was there, he said, josh.

A was there the day they said you. We added here and all of the sun. They started leaving and then fail changes as mine and started chasing Joshua. A was there when they got to the red sea and was a red light at the red sea. And he saw most of look up the gun and go, hey, what we do about this now? And I said, stand still and see the salvation of the law saw moses lipped up his staff and the red sea split.

And they walk through, looking at a wall of the water, can you? But the part that makes Michelle, the part that makes Michelle was that they walk through on dry ground, IT shows me every time, is not just that god can make a highway in the ddd, the sea. I love that god is so intentional that would take time to dry up the ground.

Come on, you know, if water was there, IT should have been been good for them to walk through, but not gone. He said. I don't want you taken the footprints of your pass into your future, so I want extra iracema that the ground that you step on is jack.

I don't know who i'm preaching to today, but god said the place you've to step into you not go have any choices of your path. So keep walk and trust god, that what is got in front of you is greater than what's been behind. Somebody take like ten seconds and get got the best prize that trick up. I am given a drag ground praise. I'm thankful that he can split the sea, but i'm more thankful that he can make IT drive just great.

You know what kind of confidence you've got in that when you see stuff like that, when you realize your god can talk to for frogs and locus and split water and dry up ground. But none of that he is the stuff that if I was Joshua, I would to put on my resume. Joshuas the biggest flex.

He is biggest flex. The thing that he should have right on his instagram profile is general, son of none, assistant to moses. That's a big deal. Billions of people walk through.

And the one person that mother is trusted to be his right hair man josue how, as a leader, I wish moses would at least given us some blues clues as why you pick Joshua, all these people, and you choose this Young dude. You trust him to walk with you. Joshua must have been something special.

You understand when moza says, I want you to be my right hand man, that is the equipment of my node king junior, and I ve been having modern dreams. I want you to come and walk with me. This is most is the greatest profit to ability of choses.

Joshua, what type of character did Joshua have but moses to pick him in? Joshua would just watch, he would look, look and watch how god would speak to moses. That reading when you get to the create and next to study three, there's is an incredible moment.

Running from god for the longest. And the thing that keeps drawn you back is what you have seen.

You know the power of god, you know the presence of got. You know why you all turn them up in the club. You remember that moment at youth cap when present feel true is just amazing, but there's some things they want to see IT.

You can't unc IT. Now the fact i'll take you back since we're looking back and looking where we are now, do you never one of the first messages approached this year, the title was, what was the title? The title was IT. Was there all alone? Remember that message? Nobody .

Every time you see those logos, now you will see. And that's the power of an encounter. That's the power not just seeing something taking time to actually luck.

Joshuas life could be defined as somebody that knew how to look so much so there were noses. It's ready to go spy out the land that was already put in the GPS that was predestined for them. He sends out twelve spies to go look, and they came back with a report.

Ten say, yeah, we can do IT. There's no way is giants in the land. Two people say that we are more than able to take IT Joshua and Caleb Joshua was the only one with his brother cale that looked not at the giants in the land, but looked at the fruit in the land.

And the promise that got IT already given them that he was already theirs. But the report didn't stand. The majority report spread throughout the camp. And so I watched this. Joshua and Caleb have to listen to, people aren't moving in faith, but are moving in fear, and their fear LED them to rebellion.

So much so that guys and I, you don't believe my promise for your life, not elegant into into the promise land, except for Joshua in cana, he said, you are going to die in this wilderness and your kids will inherit the later. I can imagine being on the other side of that and realizing i'm not even going to give in to the land, but I also can imagine being genuine and working with people who made you miss your opportunity to see the moment. Walking with people for body years, knowing is a two day trip.

And here you are because of their fear, walking round of wilderness for forty years, waiting for in the that. So you can walk in your power. Can you see him that a fake call for a real cause? What can you, dad? So walking kids into my promise, once they, i'll die.

Watch this. now. Joshua is charged with the task of leading a new generation and to a land that was already pairs.

And what .

does god say to Joshua? Moses, my servant, isn't dead. Just one do that. I know when a great leader dies, the world feels in. Joshua knew moser was dead.

Why does god feel the need to state the obvious? Moses, my servant, is dead. He's lying. Joshua, know that you will not conquer what I had for you in the next season until you bring closure to this season.

You cannot step in what I have ahead of you until you come to the grips with the fan. Moses, I come in bank grown because they, how mos to do some incredible things. So we even after went to the mountain daylight, he going to come back, come some time.

Come on, come on, bro. He had iraq. And what he came out, he coming back, does like, no is now this season is over.

Somebody is to take that because you stand in the mountain of relationship. There's been over. Think on, takes me back. No.

If we do, god shut their relationship off. Don't go back. I want to show you how you can be morning and still moving those.

This is there. That season is over. I am now. Watch is going to be strong and courageous and step into what's ahead of me.

Who am I preaching to today? Is there anybody in here that feels got pulling you into something new, but you go have to get closure over a season that is not coming back? This is that mobile.

So now joshi has to lead them and gossip, be strong and courageous. You only tells about to be strong and courageous, who, if they scare up. And I know bym o he was here to follow moses.

Can you imagine the fear? What in god just say, be strong. He said, be strong. encouragers. Wow, because they're connected. Strength is an inner resilience and a resolve to say, I can handle IT because god's said I could. But courage is the boldness to make a move and act on the promise god has given you unique both.

Don't tell me you strong if you've never stepped out, encourage you don't know you're strong until you actually make a courageous step and say, god, i'm gonna trust your word and believe that if you said it's mine, i'm gonna a move into IT god, I know there's enemy's occupying the land, but the enemy has nothing to do with my destiny if you said it's md, they're just squatters, they're not inhabitants. I have the title did, but i'm gonna to move in straights encourage and you and got courage to you start taking a stand. Or can I take you as well as a church?

I have a looked at every building in the dallas for worth area because I came. Just pray for god to open up a door. You've got ta start taking a step.

We can all you can make offers that you even got the money in the account. But when you make the offer is showing courage. And the courage is connected to the strengths.
