Alethea Foster was Lead Clinical Specialist Podiatrist at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust between 1985 and 2004, where she was a top class operator in her profession winning numerous awards. But things at home with her retired journalist husband John weren't great: their sex life had stopped 17 years previously and Alethea suspected he might be having an affair with an ex-colleague Julie Simpson.When Alethea stumbled across an email exchange between Julie and John which revealed they had been having an affair she was utterly devastated and emailed Julie to arrange a meeting.
