The Morning Cruise Replay - Going Back, Back, Back...

No we didn't hit a baseball on the show today but we are a in a bit of a celebratory mood as many students in our listening area are going back to school today and our own Jayar is back after a 3-month hiatus to handle some personal issues. 

Last week, Dave had to make an amergency trip to the grocery store while dealing with being trapped by floodwaters. And he had to go back after he found freedom to replenish his coffee supplies. Bill had a similar experience that he shared as well. 

As kids go back to school, another member of Carmen's family is also hitting the books as her husband is taking classes to become a real estate broker. 

For Dave's granddaughter, there is a bit of apprehension in the return to school and a new routine with middle school. As they talked through it, Dave was reminded of a time when he tried to help his son with his locker situation, only for his son to get in trouble for it. 

And Bill wants to remind you to not worry about what you wear on that first day as well. 

Carmen thought back to her days in school while traveling over the summer and getting the chance to see Paisley Park. And Bill thought back to a trip he took through Europe with a stop at the hills of Salzburg made so famous in The Sound of Music. 

As The Olympics wrapped up yesterday, Dave looked back at some of the more outstanding moments including the Australian B-Girl that went viral for her routine in the breaking competition and Tom Cruise making an appearance at the closing ceremony to bring the Games to its next destination of Los Angeles in 2028. 

Jayar is back in the building and we are so excited to see him and hear his analogies. He shared a few of those analogies as he touched upon how the Lord has worked with him through his hiatus.
