Many of us learn how to help our kids with anxiety or OCD, but are we doing enough to help them help themselves? Helping our kids own their journey is key to their long term success.
It is similar to that old proverb: If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.
If we are the ones telling our kids what to do and how to do it, will they know how to do it for themselves one day?
Our main goal needs to be slowly fostering independence and building empowerment around their journey with anxiety or OCD.
In this week’s AT Parenting Survival Podcast I talk about how to help kids own their journey with anxiety or OCD.
