It's mid-September so that means from this point forward we'll be taking a look at the standings/playoff picture during every episode. Jacob deGrom fanned 13 in his outing yesterday, including eight in his first three innings. We're talking about how Buck Showalter should manage him during the playoffs with his injury trouble and his late-inning numbers. The Dodgers are already over 100 wins and they're more boring than ever. That's not a knock on the team, they're just so fundamentally good that it's becoming boring to watch them win every game they play. With the playoff picture becoming more and more clear, we're looking at potential World Series matchups and deciding which matchup has the most juice. Joey points out that Aaron Judge has a higher WAR this year than the entire Athletics lineup and Dallas feels like it's a targeted attack. Spencer Strider is the fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach 200 Ks and we're talking about how he's have a lowkey "oh shit" year.
