This begins the history found in the book of Deuteronomy. Much of the text is redundant with the previous three books as it represents Moses reminding the Israelite people of their history and how they should obey and be faithful to God. The book contains three addresses from Moses to the people and this episode is a summary of his first address, found in chapters one through four. Listen and let me know what you think.
