1981 was a golden year for slasher movies -- Friday the 13th Part 2, Halloween 2, The Burning...but there's one really good slasher film that got lost in the shuffle: Joe Zito's The Prowler. Also known as Rosemary's Killer, this cult classic features special effects work from the legendary Tom Savini. Filled with red herrings, awful rock music, and some of Savini's most creative kills, The Prowler may just be one of the most underrated slasher movies of the 80s.
