The UK weather has been bad ….and off we go again with all the villages getting flooded. Don feels sorry for these people because they have just dried out from the last session….I’m not sure what the answer is…they have been promised a flood protection programme 4 years ago. If they can spend billions on the Olympics why can’t they find the money to divert rivers?...when the rain stops we’ll have a draught…they are STILL going on about the “Pleb” business.….if this is headline news there’s no hope.It’s been a week…all the stupid fool had to do was say he lost his temper. how much has this “news” cost the licence payer?.....as for the John Terry case….well…he’s been fined £220 grand….ONE WEEKS WAGES…obviously big tough footballers can’t call each other names now…they’ll tell their mummy! ....there is now a bus service from Birmingham to the foot of The Himalayas…..Cashmir to be precise…..the fare - £150…..13 days on the road.Don enjoyed my podcast with Penny Page….Talk about connections….Don was reminded of a classic showbiz moment…."I was doing an after dinner spot at a masonic gig..whereby when they finished their meal I came on and entertained them. I sat on a stool with electric acoustic…gave them singalong stuff and cracked gags in between…..I was going down really well and as I was halfway through “Delilah” I was aware of a bloke who had been standing next to me for about 5 minutes…so I stopped halfway through the song and said “Can I help you?”….”Yes someone wants to go home and your car is blocking them in…can you move it please?” So my one spot turned into two…priceless…imagine that on the Royal Command Performance!
