1.     Yourcollege degree probably wasn't worth it and it's definitely not a guaranteedpath to success and happiness.

2.    Therereally was never much of a reason to give most of the adults in your life therespect they thought they deserved.

3.    Whenyour parents told you that "one day, this won't seem like a hugedeal," they were absolutely correct.

4.    Youshould have spent more time learning skills and having experiences as a child.SOOO much wasted time.

5.    Youactually still have tons of time left and the world is open to you if you'rewilling to seize it!

6.    Youlearn the income tax is not all that fun and start to reevaluate your relationshipwith government.

7.    Youstart to realize that relationships are important, but that you can and shouldbe comfortable being alone as well.

8.    Cookingfor yourself can be a real pain.

9.    Eatingout all of the time is way too expensive and unhealthy.

10. Youreally don't need that many friends to feel loved.

11.  Yourparents weren't right about everything, but that's okay.

12. Mostof the commonsense rules you followed religiously while growing up were nothingbut socially reinforced illusions designed to keep you in check. The things youcould have done if you'd found out earlier!

13. Mostpeople don't really know what they want, but they'll pretend they do, andthey'll make enormous (and stupid) decisions off of these foggy desires just tomaintain the illusion.

14. Mostrelationship advice you got from movies growing up was completely wrong.

15. Politicsis not that important after all, and your vote doesn't matter as much as youthought it would.

16. Sleepis actually really important for your happiness (I'm neglecting this now)

17.  Youdon't feel all that different than you did when you were a kid. There's nomagical "adulthood" switch that turns on and transforms you.

18. Lifegoes by fast! Really fast!

19. 99/100times, it's not the end of the world.

20.Inthe end of the day, all you can and should do is focus on making yourself abetter, more successful, happier person. If you do that, you've done "yourpart."

Andmost importantly — your life is just starting! Be excited!
