When I was a child, I loved driving through tunnels. It was mysterious, dark, somehow I could relax. When you drive yourself, on the other hand, it can be exhausting: it's narrow, offers hardly any possibilities for evasion, and when there's a lot of traffic, it's very entiring. When you go through a difficult time, you also talk about the tunnel from time to time, or more so about hopefully seeing the light at the end of the tunnel soon - in other words, the hope that the difficult season will soon be over. Did you know that in tunnel construction, a horizontal or vertical curve is often planned purposely for the traffic? This is so that the driver does not see the end too early, but as late as possible. The reason is that in the darkness of the tunnel he is not blinded for too long by the incoming light. An interesting thought. I hope it encourages you, if you are currently in a personal tunnel, that the end is perhaps closer than you currently perceive.
