A traffic light is a simple but very effective tool: with just three colours, all traffic is controlled. As a road user, I stick to red=stop, orange=caution, green=free travel. I wouldn't have to. If driverless vehicles determine our traffic in the future, the traffic light will probably be obsolete and the vehicles will either be controlled externally via a higher-level guidance system or negotiate the right of way ad hoc among themselves. But that is not yet the case. We have the freedom to submit to the rules of the traffic lights - or to violate them at the risk of putting others or ourselves at great danger. Maybe you have plans, ideas, projects at work or in your private life and you actually feel what colour the traffic lights are showing: In this case take them seriously: Go ahead with a lot of courage when the light is green and better stop and wait when the light shows red. Perhaps also in view of the new, coming year.
