There are things such as braces that are very useful and functional - but only if they are connected to what they were made for: the braces without trousers can hardly be used for anything else, while the trousers can still be worn, even without braces. That seems unfair: you can do without one and the other is useless without the other. What is certain, however, is that the combination of both creates the best solution or situation. In some cases in our lives, it really is the case that it doesn't depend on us and others manage well without us - but if we are involved, the whole situation becomes better, perhaps even more successful. It is true that many things can be done without us, even if it hurts us in certain situations and relationships. Sometimes we simply have to accept this without resentment or frustration. But with the joy that when we are integrated, it's nicer after all.
