When I want to explain something to someone who doesn't speak English, I look for the corresponding word in their language. So when I talk about a table, I look for "table" for a French person. Then they know exactly what I am talking about, because they have already seen and used a table themselves. But if I'm talking about something for which there is no suitable foreign language word - for example, Swiss Rösti - it becomes more difficult. I can describe roughly what Rösti is, but it is quite possible that my counterpart does not know or recognize what I mean. Many people feel the same way about faith. They have heard of God, but have not yet had a personal experience, and so it is as if this concept of God does not exist in their vocabulary. If you are a Christian and know such people: maybe you can give them such a positive experience and encounter with God today. If you are not Christian - then I wish you today such a personal experience with the personal, living and loving God.
