We humans smell with our noses – although we don't smell with the visible part of the nose, the olfactory process takes place in the nasal cavity. I am fascinated by the construction of the nose: it is not at the back of the head, but the most forward, exposed part of the face. It is open at the bottom, not at the top or front. This ensures that things that come from above, such as rain or heavy dust, cannot enter the nose and contaminate it. We could go on and on about how wonderfully and thoughtfully we were created. We often lose this sense of wonder and the resulting gratitude and reverence in our everyday lives. Instead, we are plagued by worries or things that seem important today but are forgotten tomorrow. Let this be a day of interruption. Take time to marvel at what has been given to you undeservedly and works well, and put aside your other worries. They will hardly prolong your life.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
