Rabbits have very large ears and hear incredibly well - because they have so many natural enemies and so they can hear them in time and escape. They can even move each ear individually. Fascinating. At first glance. But actually sad. Ultimately, there is nothing behind this extraordinary ability other than an omnipresent fear of death. These animals live in permanent tension and fear. How tragic. But actually, we humans are no better off. Death is waiting for each of us. At a small church in Basel, below the church clock it says "omina latet", which means the last one is hidden. What is meant is our last hour. On this background, the Christian message of the resurrection is even more powerful and hope-giving! Jesus has conquered this death and our fear of it. Whoever is connected to him finds peace and instead of sophisticated fear sensors, he can now develop a powerhouse heart of love and hope. How great is that!

I wish you an extraordinary day!
