When I see a Swiss flag, it always touches me. No matter where, abroad even more so. It moves something in me emotionally and even more so. It touches me, it affects my identity. When the Swiss flag is used for mischief, it hurts me, and when it is mistreated in any way or not treated with respect, it touches me and stirs feelings of justice in me. But this also shows me that we human beings are deep beings with more than feelings, it is also about identity. This is important for us. Who we are, what we live and stand up for. I feel the same way about my faith. When it is ridiculed or God is made fun of, I feel hurt because it is precious to me and part of my identity.
