There are different types of pasta: spaghetti, spaghettoni, linguini, maccheroni, capellini, fettuccine, pappardelle, tagliatelle, bavete and many more. And this also includes farfalle. In our language, we call them Krawättli, or little ties. The name actually means butterflies. But we just call them Krawättli. The interesting thing about them is that they have nothing to do with a tie, big or small. They are much more similar to a bow tie, i.e. the bow tie for men's shirts. Nevertheless. Everyone knows what the term ‘Krawättli’ means and what the shape is. This is how terms can become established, even though they are not appropriate or correct from a purely external point of view. For those who understand this terminology, this perhaps correctly labelled error does not cause any problems of comprehension. For others, however, it does. Misunderstandings are inherent.
