There are animals that use more senses than just their eyes for night vision. Migratory birds orientate themselves by the earth's magnetic field. Bats use ultrasonic waves to find their way around. We humans can also recognise certain things at night - but: we actually recognise more when we are not looking closely. Looking at something closely and straining to do so does not help, because the eye structures that enable us to see clearly during the day do not help at night. Rather, it helps to look a little off-centre. Then the little light falls on the periphery of our eyes, where receptors are located that are responsible for black and white vision, i.e. also for seeing at dusk. This makes it easier to recognise an object. This can also help in the dark times of our lives. Don't focus primarily on the dark, but on what gives you hope. In their periphery, the dark can then be better recognised and classified.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
