There are always moments of disappointment in life. The German term describes what happens: the release of a deception. That is one thing. The other is that such experiences are often linked to injuries. Especially when people disappoint us, it often hurts. If we are in physical pain, we or the doctor first try to alleviate the symptoms, the pain, and at the same time address the cause in order to create healing.
