Does the word 'hopefully' occur frequently in your language? Hope is - as I observe it - one of those words that have a touch of optimism in our society but somehow without any real justification. In the sense of: it would be nice if... but things could turn out very differently and in the end we don't know and have no influence. In other words, a certain fatalism. I understand hope to mean something else. For me, it is a genuine, well-founded confidence that what I hope for will happen, even if I don't see it happening at the moment. Hope as a foundation to stand on. A rock in the surf, not a flag in the wind. Why? Because I believe. Paul writes to the believers in Rome: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. God is real in Jesus. He is the incarnation of well-founded hope.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
