Did you know that the term fireplace is derived from the Latin word caminus, which means ‘fireplace’ or ‘stove’? It is related to the Greek word káminos, which also means ‘oven’. Originally, caminus referred to a device for heating and cooking. That sounds understandable. Where fire is made, smoke is produced. Where we humans live, we produce things that need to be disposed of. It's relatively easy to divert the smoke upwards through the chimney and so we don't even realise how much we're producing something harmful because it's out of our sight, over our heads so to speak. But just because it is no longer visible does not mean that it no longer exists. Do you also have things in your life that accumulate over time, that you possibly suppress, that you don't want to look at and that nevertheless accumulate more and more? In this case, I advise you to read Psalm 51 from the great King David. He felt the same way.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
