The well-known Latin proverb alea iacta est is translated as "the die is cast". This refers to a situation following an event, the outcome of which can no longer be influenced. However, if you take the more literal translation of the Latin expression, you would have to translate: the die is cast. And somewhat sophistically, one could then say: the die has been thrown - i.e. an event has started - but the outcome - neither of the throw of the die nor of the event - is already known. You might argue that this doesn't matter because you can't influence the outcome anyway. As a Christian, I think differently here. I believe in an almighty God who knows me personally and with whom I have a relationship and who hears my prayers. That is why I am hopeful even in situations that I cannot influence, because although I cannot influence the outcome of the dice roll, He can.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
