Oak leaf lettuce and other similar lettuces have wavy leaves. In comparison to the leaves on trees, which are largely flat, these are wavy. This means that, from a geometric point of view, they have an irregular shape, one that is probably not very easy to represent mathematically in a function. When you eat the salad, you may neither notice nor care. But it fascinates me because it is not a simple solution, so to speak, but a complex one that makes me think, for example: how does this work or how could this shape be represented in a plane or in a function? In our society, especially in a market-orientated society, the following applies: no pain, no gain. This is not the case in nature. Here we are given so many marvellous, wonderful and beautiful things. Today I wish you open eyes for these undeserved gifts.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
